Thank God for the humility of the late Pastor Daryl Coley for allowing Dr. Ricky Dillard to use the name “New Generation” and thank God for Dr. Dillard for be obedient to God and his vision. I’m been a fan of Ricky Dillard and New G since I was I was a little boy, when I heard “The Holy Place” growing up in the church. It was so different and bold when I heard it, My father went to COGIC convocation back in ‘02 and brought home the “NO LIMIT” tape cassette to us back home in Knoxville TN. I listened to Hallelujah album when I was nine years old in 2003 years after 1995 when it came out, when I first Calvin Rodgers on drums and I have been a fan ever since following every record ever released. I just listened to the first record, The Promise and that’s why I looked forward to this record when the More Abundantly medley single came out because it sounded so vintage like the first record. I serve as a minister if music at my father’s church and That church based sound is what I love and I know that’s why so many people love Ricky Dillard and New G. I feel apart of that new generation!!!!!
I'm not a military guy but I appreciate militant structure .. when Ricky came to Ebenezer AME to take over the music dept, I fell in love with his STRUCTURE ! Due to me being in the music, security & transportation ministries, I have been involved with his logistics as well and I can say THAT TEAM on this zoom meeting is world class PROFESSIONAL! I've met some great folks and made some new friends from New G .. love this man and choir ❤
I love the structure because I grew up in the church with my grandma and mother. Of course, I call it order. We call it discipline and structure in the military.
"You can't be in New G and not bear the fruit of the spirit" I love it! I am consistently watching videos of this choir, especially One more chance and I've got the victory. Excellence is all over them! Phenomenal, Phenomenal, Phenomenal!
I thank God my mother introduced me to Ricky Dillard with "Ohhhhhh what a promise". I Looooove Ricky Dillard and New G. Always great music, great movement. They don't take the choir out of the sound. They also can sing and dance all night and not look tired or worn out. They might be sweating from head to toe but they're still constantly singing and moving and upbeat. Ricky has always had some awesome singers within his choir. My most favorite Choir Director. My favorite Choir, after Mississippi Mass of course lol.
I’m sure Ricky Dillard had no idea his cd would be for this time we’re presently experiencing in life. It speaks to the pandemic and the unjust of our people. It also speaks to the broken-hearted, those without hope and I can go on and on. I don’t want to take up all of the comment section with how this song is an aid to the nation. When I heard the single, “Let There Be Peace On Earth” by the end of the song I was literally in tears, it was powerful and worship that followed it. Everybody, choir and band were in sync the whole record! An Incredible album I will be playing for years to come.

The 1st time are witnessed Ricky and New G was at the GMWA in D.C. 1990. I was in AWE. I caught up with one of the Tenor;s afterwards and said to him " i grew up in the Spiritual church but this ain't no spiritual read- Ya;ll are gonna be around for many many many years and become a household name" here we are 30 yrs later and i wasnt wrong. New G can be imitated but not beat

The funny thing is the first recording project the ropes look like gold and white and Dr. dillard head on the overlay in the choir did not. Also was the picture on the album first recording also at haven of rest.
