I remember sting’s character having a mental issue. We call it PTSD now. Also miss blonde sting. I know many grew up on crow sting but he was old at that point.
@@leonsilcott4895 Oh really, then why did Law & Order spanned six run off series?! And why is Law & Order still going on 25 years later?! If it sucks so badly, yet your sh#t show is the sh#t stain upon tv history☺😊😉😌
Loved this show. It was filmed in "my backyard". At the time, I lived in Orlando and my father worked for Walt Disney World. Having visited the parks and resort hotels a thousand times, and living near other tourist spots, I always recognized all the filming locations of the show. It was a blast as a youth to see places I had walked through appear on the show. This experience also applies to many shows filmed at the time due to the arrival of Disney/MGM Studios and Universal Studios Florida. Other shows with familiar locales off the top of my head included SeaQuest DSV, The Adventures of Superboy and WMAC Masters.
Dumb but Fun. I grew up on the whole super vehicle craze of the 80's and 90's and loved this as a kid. Still remember dad getting yelled at when the more... "Baywatch" side of things was on screen... XD
Growing up, I was a fan of ho hogan, which got me into watching the show to begin with. I actually enjoyed it. I think if given the proper budget and stability it could’ve done well.
I always love episodic TV series. good old days when one episode we got one problem and conclusion. and the next episode is new story with new problem that also concluded in that episode. modern series: one problem last the entire season
I loved this show and I may be a little biased since my Mom and Stepdad met Hulk Hogan when we were living in Florida on the beach back in the late 80's. I've always liked Hulk Hogan and have been a big fan of his during his wrestling days and he's a pretty good actor to boot. Also even though the filming took place after I moved away I know that hotel by heart since I drove by it all the time whether for work or going a friend's house. I lived in the area for almost 5 years.
Growing i wanted the Viper TV series Defender and this Boat. My life would have been complete. All of my hot wheels and matchbox vehicles were used to replicate these shows and go on my own adventures. I miss these shows, I miss those days. The 90s were so optimistic.
@TripleZ89: I hear you loud and clear on that. Viper was but one of many shows that my dad and I watched at this time. Looking forward to revisiting Viper on DVD soon. Spent a lot of time, playing with my action figures and my all my diecast cars during this time as well.
I believe the series actually first started out as direct to VHS movies. I believe they were three of them all together. There was one episode that took cues from "Predator" where they had to face off from a invisible creature attack in them.
@derekberry6122: Indeed, the show did start off as a series of three tv movies prior to the formal series starting. One episode even reused footage from the pilot episode to save money on filming new scenes. Additionally, the three made for tv movies were popular rentals at video stores in the 1990's. I recall seeing them all the time at mine.
there was also another tv series about an armored black hightech superboat/speedboat that looked like batmans car from the 1989 movie, also a disney production, the main protagonist was a ginger dude sleazbag but dogooder looking like a crossbreed between a yuppie and a mercenary, can not find it now on imdb under the disney shows, but I recall it being broadcast with disney animated talespin and chip and dale and martin koves hard time on planet earth segments
That was a cool show. I'm no big fan of hogan but how could you not like a supersonic boat. Plus they could tap into satellite video and zoom right in on a bad guy. And all the other high tech stuff. Lemon was good too.
I remember this show, I wanted to like it but the tone was all over the place and I couldn’t get into it. The boat was baddass though that’s why I mainly watched it, that and the wrestling cameos.
I can truthfully say that I have never heard of this show. Like, at all. It sounds like it was actually intended as _Baywatch meets Air Wolf meets Arnie's Commando_ -- that's not a good recipe, but it might be worth hunting down the DVD set.
The Special Effects and military aspects of the show were just beyond the grasp of the producers. With a better producer, someone like Stephen J Cannell or Donald Bellisario say, Thunder in Paradise could have been a better show and could have lasted longer. Carol Alt was particularly good but at times seemed to be acting in an entirely different production from the two male leads!
Marker! Easy there, Don't fall too far back into the obscure. That said...... I watched the mess outta Marker, Booker and Hunter. Own all the original episodes on DVD, watched the revival too.
The boat was sold in the late 90s to a private owner who stripped it down to a normal Scarab and painted it white. It eventually ended up in Richard Hammond's ownership who used on the Amazon show the Grand Tour
It failed, because it was too obviously a cheap rip-off too stupid and too formulated even for the mid-nineties. it was light, enjoyable and fun entertainment and I liked it.
😂as a kid watching this on TNT after Nitro were good times lol…just before another 1 season short live series came out as “Mortal Kombat Conquest” 😂….those shows were watchable but cheesy terrible
I adored this show when it came out. The funny thing is that, afaik, the complete show has only been released on DVD in Germany. I bought the box, but then found out what kind of a jerk Hogan is, so I no longer feel like rewatching it.
I remember sting’s character having a mental issue. We call it PTSD now. Also miss blonde sting. I know many grew up on crow sting but he was old at that point.
That theme song and boat holds a strange place in my heart 😅
For me its the outro.
Thunder in paradise mess with him its like rollin the dice with that reggae beat
I honestly believe US Navy was binging this show when they put together their seal insertion covert ops speedboat project
This was not a failure this was a masterpiece ok Law and Order was boring

This show was maybe one of the most famous shows of my childhood

I can't think of Thunder in Paradise without thinking of The Simpsons and Knight Boat
the crime solving boat!!!
That show was so lame every week there's a canal or an inlet or a fjord.
Growing up, I was a fan of ho hogan, which got me into watching the show to begin with. I actually enjoyed it. I think if given the proper budget and stability it could’ve done well.
I can't remember anything about this show aside that I really enjoyed it.
So…it’s basically Knight Boat?
More "Blue Thunder in Paradise"... But yeah. Pretty much.
Since you put it that way...... yea
Classic Early 90's. Muscle, Action, Hot Babes, and Cheesy One Liners!

I enjoyed watching this back in the day.
Captain Jack Brother Dude and Lieutenant Dan
Riding their super boat from America to Japan....
That don't work for me, Brother
I own this show on dvd. I still love it. I always watch an episode of it before i watch nitro. Just to take me back
Loved this as a kid…still do lol

I actually liked the series for what it was.
As I'd seen Hulk's other films I knew he was not going to float this boat.
The Adventures of Captain Jack Brother Dude & Lieutenant Dan on their stupid boat.
Wrestling Bios heard a disturbance in the Force hearing that name
The only way to watch this show is trough Wrestling Bios....with smokey the cat on your lap
I was able to get the first and third vhs movie copies of this, I liked it.
luved this show as a kid
I feel like Gandalf in the mines of Moria.
"I have no memory of this place."
I always liked the show.
This is Chris Lemmon's career burial after this short-lived show was cancelled he's been blacklisted ever since.
This show just screams the 90s
This show was the Right flavor of Cheese. I enjoyed the show. I was a kid at the time but it was fun.
Please make a video oh The Highway Man also.

the video game was on the CD-i of all things
It was perfect 😊
i mean it lasted a full 22 episodes wouldn't exactly call that a failure now a couple of episodes yes but 22 no

No it is not worth hunting down 😂 The show is awful.

Do Booker and Marker, Lands End and Hunter
Marker! Easy there, Don't fall too far back into the obscure. That said...... I watched the mess outta Marker, Booker and Hunter. Own all the original episodes on DVD, watched the revival too.
So where do the two movies come in?
The movies were just two part episodes from the series put together for home video.
Carol alt ❤❤
good to know.
The more I see older nostalgia the more I realize, as a child, I was stupid af.
boat was bigger on the inside
They got the boat from Doctor Who 😂
Different actresses play the stepdaughter in the pilot and the rest of the series
Oakland in paradise 🙅🏾♂️
You don't give the give the hulksta creative control, you don't do that
Yup , nineties cheesiness alright .Which "The Simpson's " would. make fun in one episode , of"The Simpsons " show .Since was Homer's favourite show .
Where is the boat now?

With Hulk Hogan in it you can't be surprised it crashed and burned. Shitty acting. Shitty actors. Horrible lame A-team ripoff storyline.
Load of garbage.
I rented this in the videostore
