"Radical self-reliance" = bringing enough stuff to camp for a weekend.
Nice video. YOU get it. Adversity builds our community. Was my 20th burn and it was with great amusement I'd get on our camp's wifi and watch the world press LOSE THEIR MINDS over the "International Humanitarian Crisis" at burning man. Comedy gold. It rained. Then it dried out. Desert : ).
Awesome you guys made the best of it! Maybe catchya there next year:)
Thank you for sharing. You showed a more real perspective and it looks like you had a great time. Glad you showed how community took care of each other and learned that. Those who made it sound like a disaster have no idea what burning man is all about.
Wonderful diary😊THANKS FOR SHARING!!! Instead of ‘in dust we trust,’ this year’s motto is ‘the mud was STUD’ see ya on the playa 24
Was my first burn too. Cool footage you managed to capture. My favorite sunrises ever.
Love seeing virgins pick up the principles, even better when they survive the worst weather in over 20 years and want to come back.
Great vid. Was def learning about importance of community.
Great vid, really captured those moments. Burn on!
By the way this makes a clue to my story as Paulo Coelho would write. "The god/s of thunder and storms may have come to greet you all". At least you don't take It as THE BAD weather. Rain Is still important for deserts too.
Peace, love and understanding from Italy.
Anybody who calls it a festival doesn't get it. It was never a national emergency. Radical self reliance. It wasn't a catastrophe. It was a rainstorm.
Thank you. This was Gen-z hyperbole. Being there on the inside while watching how the world was like watching the media make a parody of itself.
Agree. Thanks. My favorite city in the world. @@gatheringforgood
Beautiful!!! I hope to one day experience the magic of Burning Man
The news outlets portrayed this as a disaster after the rain , Looks like you all had a great time regardless my daughter was there as well said it was a blast !
Beautiful!
i can feel the love
9:36 "MONKEY!" lmfao "HE'S LIGHTIN UP"

❤❤❤
I finally agree with Paul Addis
So fun
Got to B there 🎉
helter-skelter in place!
@9:45 is the first time I've seen/heard great music coming from the rides. Usually it's been elevator music which would be dissapoiting if I showed up. But I'm neither rich or cute. So I stay home instead.
I love your video. Completely different to the 'doom and gloom' the mainstream media were trying to portray.
Why would need to "find" food? Were you not planning on being there for 7 to 10 days? I was there and when I heard that the news was saying we were "stranded with no food and water" it was laughable. We were fine. If you weren't fine, you did it wrong. Glad you had a great time.
Water added to dust makes wet clay! OMFG 🤦🏼♂️

Clueless people remaining clueless. Vanity and self indulgence, that is what I learned from this video.
Isn't it grand?

@@daixer3156 arctic man? Woah yea brother makes the mountain yetis come out, look it up. You'll want to go.
I have long heard about this annual event-festival, Burning Man. I have an idea of what is happening there. And in general I don’t find any reason to visit it myself. Nothing attracts me there, nothing pulls me, nothing attracts me. This party is definitely not for everyone, but for a certain type of people, with a certain set of character traits. Burning Man, of course, has become widely known, even outside the United States, but it will never become a universal national holiday in the country, much less throughout the world. There used to be a hippie movement - so what? Have everyone in the world become hipsters? No. So this Burning Man will remain only a place for a gathering of people, which cannot even be called a subculture, some kind of movement, trend in society. It does not have any philosophical or ideological background. What ideas are they trying to convey to society - have fun, enjoy idleness, get high in the moment and express yourself under the influence of drugs and alcohol. It already happened - sex, drugs and rock and roll. And this is a direct path to the degradation of the individual and the entire society as a whole. That is why people can afford this revelry only once a year, and no more than a week. Society must develop, not decay, spiritually and intellectually.
Burning never will be the same, a lot fake burners. Even mother nature was sick of these fake burners
Burningman once was, now it's a commercial degenerate techno party like so many but have your dubious fun
I guess time to layout roads, camping sites and most important of all storm water drains so not to have a repeat of muddy events.
This is a leave no trace event. They are supposed to leave no trace. They left tons of "trace" after this past burn. Now you want them to disturb the ecosystem even more so they don't get muddy? Yeah, this is exactly why this event shouldn't happen again.
A National emergency? Lmao. Nobody cared about you guys stuck out there. In fact I’m sure 300 million Americans we’re laughing and clapping.
Thank you for ruining the desert. If you guys waited until the mud dried things would be great.
They left quite a path of destruction behind, that's for sure.
Go to ukraine if u think this was bad lol
