So sounds like all the Van's except the Nissan NV are garbage..doesn't sound like much choice..I had my finger getting ready to buy the brand new 2019 Sprinter 2500..you didn't mention the 2019s did you? Nobody makes diesel besides Mercedes right? I was told it's not worth buying gasoline because you're engine is shot after couple hundred miles anyways...
All of the new diesel cargo vans are having problems because of the emission systems on them Ford Chrysler and Mercedes if it was me I would go with a gas van either with the Ford Transit or Ram ProMaster longest and tallest they make the Nissan NV is only a two Skid van and you're find it hard to sign it on with a company Ford has fixed their gleba disc problem and apparently Chrysler has fixed the overhead cam and lifter problem with the Ram ProMaster
@@ExpediteTravels okay I will research those out, thank you.. However, when you say emissions problems, are you talking about the DEF system or another type of system.. because I heard if you know a mechanic in Europe or stateside that knows what they're doing..they can take it off for you..my state doesn't do inspections.
I'm talking about the def system the particulate filter and the EGR valve an EGR cooler keep in mind if you take all that off and you bring your vehicle into any dealership and they find out that all those are missing they are required by law to get in touch with the EPA impound your vehicle and in Canada the fine is $50,000 and they take your license until you pay the fine off then you get your vehicle back and have to have that all put back on your vehicle at your expense
@@ExpediteTravels hah bro that sounds like nazi Germany....okay so then what are the problems with the emossions..like are they frequent and how much are we talking price wise for maintenance? I am looking at prices for dodges AMD fords and the gasoline are almost the same sticker price as the diesel..its almost like you're going to have costs both ways cause in a couple hundred thousand your gasolines are gonna be shot
The gasoline engines are far better option even if you get 800000 miles out of the engine it's still cheaper to replace it or rebuild it than what it would be to maintain a diesel the emission systems r42 $6,000 usually they go out after your warranty. 200000 miles and then if you have a problem with the engine those are usually 8 to $10,000 to replace as of spending four to five thousand dollars on a gas engine
keeping up on the basic maint. saves money in the long run cant make money sitting on the side of the road great video thanks
