I wish they fixed the voice effects. As of mame 0.239, when you get a strike or spare your character says a line of dialogue but it's not present. Also when you get a strike or spare the PA guy says Strike! Or Spare!
Thank you! This was a rather tough challenge. There were a few characters who were inconsistent. Even if my input was the same, I would sometimes not get a strike with them. That was very frustrating. Fortunately, most of them didn't let me down.
@@Shadoan18 No, no, no, no, no. I don't support those companies. If I ever have the opportunity to play the game on its original cabinet, then I'd try some characters and go for a perfect game.
@@bubufubu I don't support them much either, but they're one of the few who get ahold of those things to allow for legal play. You could ask around, I'm sure there's an enthusiast for these things who could LOAN theirs for a run.
@@Shadoan18 It's not all that important to me. There are arcades I could visit, if I want. If the opportunity arises, then I'll probably take advantage. It would be fun to play this game on an original cabinet to find out how much harder it is to achieve a perfect game using a trackball. If it never happens, then no big deal.
@@bubufubu It's bad enough but not hearing the alien's monologue is even worse since we have no idea what he is up to! I'm pretty sure if ANY simpsons character was playing as Lisa and got a 300 they would be having nightmares tonight (Like what is probably going to happen to me)
@@Tiredcream6472 Oh, it's not that bad. 😄 People need a good scare, now and then. Someday, the MAME development team is gonna make this game a priority and release a new build with all of the audio intact.
Move the character select cursor up and down as fast as you can until you see Grampa's sprite appear amongst the others. It shouldn't take more than a few seconds. This will activate him. He's still hidden, though. You have to move the cursor above Homer and below Apu to find him. Here's a video to help you: ua-cam.com/video/LzoL3O4EpSg/v-deo.html
Should've made to dreamcast, PS1, N64 & Win98
This is one Simpsons game i have never played before, but this is awesome to see you get all 300 perfects with all characters, dude. Props to you. 🙂
Thanks, Justin! Glad you enjoyed it.
I love the drumroll when you are 1 away from a perfect game (300)
It is a nice touch. Adds pressure, too.
@@bubufubu did you know in world class bowling, there is a screen of the players who converted the 7-10 split for this game?
@@dragonriderjc9874 I did not know that because I've never heard of that game.
7-10 isn't the hardest split actually
4:44 Willie’s Victory.
9:35 Homer’s Victory.
Y’know, tbh…thiiiis looks like it could be a potential Sega Saturn game
I've been trying to find this game for years!!!!
Seeing games like this makes me wish i was not born in 2003
Can't you just invent a time machine and make your parents conceive you in the '80s?
I wish
Simpsons bowling made you think this???😂😂

Awesome! :) I imagine this wasn't very easy to do lol

If a draw occurs in a multiplayer game the 300 score animations will not play out. It just jumps to the game over screen.
Correct. I have a video where I played a 4 Player game and got perfect scores with three of them.
The Simpsons bowling arcade 2001 2000
Id have like to hear their voices for their victory.
Same here.
@@bubufubu ..... You intend to get the 1UP Arcade of this? Hopefully with all the clips intact for the perfect 300 for each?

6:46 Maggie as a special ball?!
Yep. A silly way to get her character into the game since she's too young to bowl.
