If Dezza ever got into a fight, he'd just make the opponent eat themselves

When you listen closely there is a soft tapping sound that seems to trigger the person's reaction. I think Derren makes this sound (tapping his shoe or something). This is his cue to strongly imagine feeling the impact, thus feeling it.

Well, I just blew out a candle with my one-inch punch. So I must be a Jedi too! Also, you can see when he punched the guy how he extended his arm fully and actually just pushed the guy back.

I think, by watching the 1inch punch, they think about what it would feel like (especially, because they see their companions reaction) and by letting the master pick a participant, that particular person has an extra strong imagination of the punch... the rest is just good talking i guess.

This is very easy to be done if u know how. THe very base triick is this : he tells his subcouncious he will get punch, then he touches the area where he gets the punch, and then he shows his subcouncious when to start hurt. It was 16 seconds between the touch and the punch. Next time he does it from behind. He touches, counts to 16 and then he does the motion of punch (was not neccesery..) (the guys subcouncious counted to 16 and did the same feel of pain as the first time) thats it guys

and can put a candle flame out with a punch.. It takes alot of practice.. It's easiest to use a snap punch because it allows a breeze to come off your punch.. With practice your punches make wooshing sounds

i think derren taps his feet for the "student" to tumble, therefore the reason for the little pause. just my opinion tho

It is. I'm not sure if that is what happening but I'm absolutely positibve that that would do the trick. Don't forget that it is just a trigger though. Do a search for Derren Brown Invisible touch and you find a more eh, friendly version of the same principle :D

the "impact" might have been from the noise derren made with his foot. i noticed he kinda stomped his foot as he punched the second time. but what do i know. haha

he touched him in the front therefore that is where the punch would hit

@VerifyVolatile I personally like that he's gay. We need more famous gay people who are not famous because they're loud and obnouxiously gay.
