How James Gunn made a raccoon into one of the best and most beloved characters in all of the MCU is just crazy. It's been nearly 9 years since the first movie came out and in those 9 years my love for Rocket has grown so much that I don't see any other character in any franchise will ever come close to him for me. He is my captain.

Gunn wasn't joking when he said rocket was always the secret protagonist of this amazing trilogy. From a selfish and self proclaimed racoon into a loved racoon.
The part where they kept tearing him apart and putting him back together gave me a panic attack. Even the part where they showed the file of Rocket being dissected, all the Guardians were horrified…even Peter’s reaction tore my heart. Even Rocket’s screams broke me. Peter was like a dad to Rocket. My top three panic-attack-fuel scenes in Disney: 1. Woody’s Nightmare (Toy Story 2) 2. Rocket suffering (GOTG Vol 3) 3. Mufasa’s death (Lion King)
I hope they make another movie with Captain Rocket. He is one of the most beautiful animated characters I've ever seen, he looks so lifelike and when he cries its impossible not to feel empathy. His fur looks so real, I can imagine how soft it is. Lylla, Cosmo and Groot are beautiful too. Rocket is my favorite MCU character and superhero and one of my favorite characters in any Disney franchise, the only ones who give him a run for his money are Belle and Beast.
Gunn wasn't kidding that he's the saddest creature in the galaxy. He was torn apart not only physically but emotionally throughout the film
