Wow. I am deaf and when I got into watching the Olympics, I once thought the Paraolympics to be a mockery of the Olympics but watching the games have changed my perception of disablied people in sports. I even found out that there is a deaf olympics as well. Did not know this. And this blind running is amazing. Huge amount of respect for those woman and their guides and all altheles in the paraolympcs!
Hi! I ran track with my best friend Rosie in middle school. She was our first leg in the 1600 meter relay. She is deaf and we would get disqualified because she jumped the gun. I never got over it. I hope the rules have changed. ❤️
I feel ya. I too probably discounted the Paralympics, but happily I'm reformed. LOL. 🔥🔥➡➡ note: this time scored by Clegg is ONLY ONE SECOND less than world/countries records by sighted runners. Their athletes no matter.
Congratulations, Libby! 🥂🍾🇬🇧👏🏻 at the time, I didn’t know about UA-cam, and being blind, didn’t know how to make comments either, and have learned to do so in recent years. I admire you, and wish I could run as fast as you! Has anyone thought about wearing earphones and having the directions given through earphones, instead of having a guide?
it is good attempt in para olympics teaming with is absolutely good attempt got success rate but future they should even reinvent when olympic should always looks for better starting line finishing line with single rope for each player in finishig line just like trecking the direction without a partner will make even much better i olympics has good success rate of finiding how the athletic for blind fold should document to how for a single rope of direction for each blind fold will make to reach direction more than partner or finishing line a partner always drive or gives the mode how her runs it is good success rate but just to document how for it is still best on tracks with blind fold with partner running , a rope to the finishing end or vcrtically to finishing end or horizontal end should document so that we can understand how they discover what are the failures comes and how success the blind fold run is effective with partner
AT 4:10 THE BRITISH CHEST PASSED THE LINE, HER GUIDE WAS BEHIND THE LINE BUT CHINESE GUIDE FOOT IS ON THE LINE BEFORE THE RUNNER CHEST WENT ON THE LINE. NO MATTER WHAT IS SAID I SEE BRITISH RUNNER WINNING FAIR AND CLEAN. JUST PAUSE THE VIDEO AND LOOK WELL..
in athletics you may not know but when an athlete passes the line its the head and shoulders to pass first that counts nothing else so.... please stop being salty
To jest niewiarygodne. Tak się zsynchronizować. I jakie czasy!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?! Dodam że ja bym się osrał ze straciechu jakbym miął przejść ten dystans z opaską a nie przebiec :)
The Brazilian runner was rightfully disqualified, you can see that the guide-runner virtually pushed the girl forward across the line with such a force that the girl stumbled after crossing the line...
So why was Terezinha disqualified? I have unable to find the reason why online. Does anyone know? I also heard this is the first Paralympics where both the runner and guide will get a medal? Is that true? I don't understand why a male guide should be eligible for a medal in a women's race.
@Joseph: they started giving the guides medals in the London Paralympics. Before that only the pilot cyclists in the tandem races in Beijing. They should always have been given medals. They worked their asses off as well. They have always had to obey the same paralympic rules as the athletes that they are working with but with no recognition at all.
@@cottagechskitty it depends on how impaired their vision is. If their vision has reached a certain level of impairment a mask is required to keep them from straining to see and further damaging their sight.

might not relate what's going on FAST enough, with talking.
Kuat semangat dorang :)

They are ALL winners, partners included. Without their partners the others would be lost.

i olympics has good success rate of finiding how the athletic for blind fold should document to how for a single rope of direction for each blind fold will make to reach direction more than partner or finishing line
a partner always drive or gives the mode how her runs it is good success rate but just to document how for it is still best on tracks with blind fold with partner running , a rope to the finishing end or vcrtically to finishing end or horizontal end
should document so that we can understand how they discover what are the failures comes and how success the blind fold run is effective with partner

The last that was said was the torso, I heard chest before that. I made a search and found nothing about it. Then you may be right.
So what happens if the guide runs slower or quicker?
You do know they Train? Lol
It's a team sport.
2v2
Its just the case that one of them is blind.
The once that aren't blind are also competing.
@@theodorekaczynski2138 cool, now I get it 😅

are these runners blindfonded
they are born blind
+عيون الشعب
because they are not all equally blind. Some might see light and dark. They are wearing the blindfolds to have all the same handicap.
huuu amazing... .

Trying to figure that out too. The only thing that jumps out at me is that push at the end.
ok thank you! I'm relatively new to watching Paralympics but this is really exciting and I'm happy for them!
Just a guess, but the guide may have crossed the line first. They're supposed to match their pace to the runner's.

Why was the brazilian disqualified?
the guide slingshot her forward
I imagine if i become one of the guide
My athlete career will end 😀😃😁😁😆

The strange is that the only athlete that was not behind her guide has been declassified. Really strange.
i understand nothing but maybe was the end push by the guide
The chineses and british guides won clearly the final... it is not fair...
Well yeah it is. They are able bodied...

❤
Im here after watching a video on tik tok.
Аллах велик, даёт возможность всем и во всём
IMO all of them are wrong. 3 of them have the guides pulling them ahead, and the other gets pushed by the finish line.
are they blind
yes they are blind
yes, thats why they have guides
you too apparently ;)
she is blind?
oml im just asking.....
yes they are blind
omg im so sorry to hear that
ikr... they are an inspirational
ikr aww
wow
Why are they wearing blindfolds
are these runners blindfonded
Yup
-.-
they can be, but it's not required

@@susancassels5887 The blindfold is just to even the playing field. Some runners are partially blind.
