Birmingham season ticket holder here. There’s two games that stick out for me that season even more than this one, Boro and Brentford at Home. He was so far ahead of any other player on the pitch in both games, outclassing players 10-15 years older than him. He’ll be England’s best ever midfielder before long, and he’s a bluenose. KRO Jude, we miss ya kid
No he won't
Crazy how mature he was at such a young age.
@@dxfifa He without a doubt has the potential to surpass gerrard lampard and scholes. Were they at 16/17 at his level?
@@dxfifa why not?
Am in my mid 20’s and I have been a football fan for 20 years, only English midfielders I can remember breaking through so young and looking so comfortable are Wilshere and Alli. If Alli had the determination and work ethic of Jude, he’d of been an animal. Wilshere was more injuries. But Jude seems to have none of that, stays injury free, has a great attitude and maturity about him which will normally take you to the top. Rooney was the same
ben white and kalvin philips were there as well, and now all three of them are in the england squad
Yeah… though Ben did get his ass sent home
Phillips there to make up the numbers
@@Rayyan679 no he didnt he had a bust up with one of the management team
@@regreid3956 You clearly don.t have a clue then pal this is the youngest England squad ever and has some awesome talent , come the next world cup they will be very very strong .
@@L8yton That's simply fake media bollox .
Jude is literally a goat in the making, hes a full package. both talent AND mentality he got em he’s now 19yo and hes already been a captain for Dortmund🤦♂️ like my god.. i truly wish him a long healthy n successful journey🙏
Came from the future... He just scored a twice in his first El Classico, for Real Madrid
@@duartecunha it’s simply amazing to see thanks for bringing me back to this video :)
@@danielonearthcame from future now he's the top scorer of la liga while playing as a midfielder on Paper
Just won his first CL now. 😂
came even further ahead from the future, he now won both La liga player of the year, la liga, and a champions league with Real Madrid, absolutely amazing, starwritten boy.
Jude Bellingham had every top club across Europe watching him since he was 14. This game, and season, showed how much of a precocious talent he was/is. However, they would have bought him regardless of this game, they had been following him for years
@Jack MacAulay he really did, alot of Premier league academies wanted him but he stayed loyal to the blues
From memory, Man United properly made their first declarations of serious interest with numbers of around 20/25 million after he made his home debut
@@TheCreator1875 yeah, but academies would've showed interest too, just not big numbers like his debut for the blues. Any academy would've wanted him he wad incredible
Yeah but saying that isnt as good a title as ‘the match that made dortmund but jude bellingham’ is it now
@@HD-ri5xb Nope, it isn't. Just making a comment mate, didn't suggest renaming it
To come on at 16 and be able to control the pressure of full bielsa mode leeds is an applaudable task, massive props to him and I hope jude’ll go far
Lad is in Real Madrid now SIUUU!!!
@@abderraoufbenaki2023 stop saying siu when ur talking about madrid. it's an embarassement
@@acidspit14 I'd say not being able to spell embarrassment is more embarrassing.
4 years later being clutch deciding the clásico against Barça. And being clutch in Champions and LaLiga too.
touche, scored the winner against barca today
And now winning champions league with madrid in his first season.
I never saw it at first but now..wow a special talent, he'll be one the worlds best in years to come....GOOD LUCK KID ✊ KRO
I think England is a evil country and don't have the best intentions for him, because mbappe is better than him and it is clear , jude is good but let the boy be and develop, Jesus this pressure this country is putting on him will impact him negatively
Aged amazingly
Lol. Everyone was saying this about Dele Alli 5 years ago and look how that turned out.
@@PeakDennisReynolds i was just thinking exactly the same. But dele only ended up like that cos of the choices he made, trust me bellingham is the future of england
@@PeakDennisReynolds dele was lazy arrogant and had a stinking attitude, if Bellingham stays on his grind and doesn’t let the hype get to him he will probably max his potential.
I was at this game with a friend of mine who is a Leeds supporter.
It was an incredible match finishing 5/4 to Leeds. But Jude B stood out head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch. We were both staggered that Jude was barely 16 years old .
We both knew that day we had seen a future great. Since that day I have followed his progress and raved about him to my friends. Initially they were bemused . But not now !
BS! Aside from his physicality at 16, there's nothing from this video that makes him stand out as something special. Nobody knew he'd be 'a great', and he still isn't that yet. If this was a highlights video of any other Championship player, nobody would bat an eyelid, but because he's developed into a real player, and his career has so far gone really well, everyone is now saying they 'knew all along.' Please. For his age, he was very much rated and touted to be a very good player, but nobody saw what has happened coming, nobody.
@@futurez12 Before that Match which I think was around 4 years ago I had never heard of Jude Belllingham. I am a Wolves supporter and only concentrate on the Premier League. Not a lowly team in the Championship. But I have a friend who is a life long Leeds supporter. His son is a physio and shares a flat with one of the Brum physios. My friend's son regularly gets free tickets for Blues games. Knowing his father is a huge Leeds fan he gave him 2 tickets for that game. My friend asked me if I would like to g to the match that day.
My friend mentioned Bellingham was 16 and highly touted so I watched him carefully. What stood out initially was his physicality . he was 16 (and a half ) but had a man's body. I have to say apart from a few touches he did not stand out as above anyone else on that pitch. But he looked composed and comfortable on the ball . But nothing special . Until he scored that goal ! as it happens I was right in line with the penalty spot so I had a clear view (it was our end of the ground) of how he took that goal in a supremely effortlessly way. He made it look easy . But It wasn't . I said to my friend the way he took that ball and scored the goal reminded me of Jimmy Greaves and Ian Rush. Two of the greatest scorers in the history of the English/British game. Both of whom I saw many times . I am 68 years old by the way and have been watching football either live or on TV since 1961 . The first game I saw was the Spurs double winning side beat Wolves 3/1 at Molineux. I was also a decent player who played for Walsall school boys. Two of that team became pros. Kevin Lane at Torquay an Kevin Clark at Walsall (he was part of the footballing family which also included Alan and Wayne) .
From that match on I raved about Bellingham and said this kid is special . The way he took that goal. I think Southgate should have brought him off the bench in the second half of that Euro final that England lost narrowly to Italy. I am sure he would have scored his penalty.
So I for one am not surprised about what Jude has achieved . Quickly becoming the "main man" for England as well as what he has achieved for Real Madrid. By the way I live near Dudley and Duncan Edwards came from there . A Black Country boy like myself. Jude is from nearby Stourbridge. I had thought it for some time but not articulated it. But my friend said that Jude could be as good as Duncan.
Even if he does not reach that level . It is still a great compliment to compare him with someone who at the time was England's youngest player ever( 18), and who died aged barely 21 years old. Personally I doubt Jude is that good . But I hope to be proved wrong.
So yes I saw what Jude was at 16 and so did my Leeds supporting friend ( 60 years and counting !) , and I can refer you to my friends if you don't believe me !!
ps by the way you seem to be downplaying his career. An England regular at 18 years old. Player of the year in Germany for Dortmont and if he played that last game they would no doubt have won the league (Injured ). Now he is most likely going to be voted player of the year in the Spanish league or at worst second. Helped them to the EC final and most likely win it . Still on ly 20 years old . yet you seem to dismiss that as if it means nothing ???????
Glasgow Rangers fan here. We played against him last season in europa cup & put them out but this guy stood out above them all. His attitude, confidence & maturity was well beyond his years. He's already at a big club but he's going to the very top & would be a great signing for any of the worlds biggest & best clubs plus he shows so much respect too. He showed lots of respect against us & for that reason alot of Rangers fans have taken him to heart without him ever playing against us which is mental 😂 but it's just the sign of the mark he left with us plus it's always favourable when a big players speaks good about ur team, stadium & fans
This comment aged well.
He is a tim btw
Liquidation fc
@@AlexBonesJones U living in 2023 my man 😂😂😂
I sometimes forget the amount of talent Birmingham has had at one point or another
It's not normal for such a so young player to do what he was doing. He is always the first man to pressure the enemy team, always in the right place when his team has the ball and in good position to recieve it, good movement to try to finish the plays. This guy is a phenomenon
I just know that in like 7+ years we’ll be coming back and rewatching this
This was the match when it became clear you were witnessing the beginning of something very special
Just 16 at this time?! OMG
who’s here after his bicycle kick for england against slovenia in the euros
I was luckily enough to be there live. Craziest and best game I've ever seen
My man looked 22 when he was 16
and the fact that he is not even 22 yet 😭
“I’m only 20 mate”
Not been a fan of football for a very long time, but this lad excites me tremendously.
Future England captain love to see him and his brother play for England at the same time, good luck to these boys.
I think future England captain will be Rice over Bellingham.
I remember Jude in like 2017-18 u14s best player I’ve ever watched at that age it’s scary
0:46 that ball recovery like a hot knife through butter and somehow still lands the pass perfectly as he gets hacked down. and never mind the goal... 16 year old kid bossing you off the pitch and you don't pick him up in the box. real midfield dynamo i pray liverpool can find a way to get him in
Still ended up on the losing side chief.
@@ryanoverend2351 well ye leeds won the league that year and birmingham were absolutely shite... one player cant carry an entire team they were lucky to survive
1:26 what a composure, what a finish.
A man amongst boys
Not just skill and vision, so much great pressing and tackling.
Tackles Kalvin Philips around 1:07. Times have changed for them both.
KP tackled him then won a throw-in :)
kalvin dug his own grave by moving to city and thinking he was gonna get regular minutes
@@YoshiiElAttar He's been injured all season
Now, this man scored first goal on his first official game for Real Madrid
Pure class written all over.
This is not that long ago as well. This boy is extremely mature for his age. And he has that X Factor. The drive to push no matter whatsoever. Destined for greatness!
That fact you think a team would buy a player because of one game is dumb and embarrassing. They had scouts watching him for a while
I was at this game, one of the craziest games I’ve been to hands down.
you have 3 massive players in their starting years here (ben white, kalvin philips and jude bellingham) crazy
Even nketiah obviously he’s not at their respective levels but still
Bielsa created the first two.
Damn his attitude on pitch like he already played for decade
pretty good player, madrid is quite interesting now
Star in the making, let’s go! 🤘😎✨
Easy to say that now isn’t it
This was an incredible game to witness.
Woooow the class and physic he had at just 16 it's insane 😮😮😮
Future GOAT 🐐
From there now he won the champions League 2024
BvB saw potential, his first touch is inmaculate, at Real Madrid they want him to retain the ball more. You need quality team players to follow your stamina. Mark my words. JUDE, only issue is his anger. He will become a legend.
He always wants to score, but he does more than that....he doesn't realize it yet.
I love how ben white played against him and now they both play for the national team
Phillips also
Well done to all these fans who called him being one of the best in the world.
COME ON ENGLAND 🏴
crazy how he makes it look effortless
That slide tackle was insanely good at that sprint speed.
That 5 it's fire too
Crazy to think no one in that stadium could of imagined the heights he is reaching now
From Birmingham to Madrid what a story🤍
Just so we’re all clear Jude was getting attention from Manchester United from after his home debut which was a few months before this game, by this time in the season he was already a regular
Tequero ❤️❤️💍
Fun fact, Bellingham was the best kept secret in all of football. Literally none of the big clubs had even heard of him.
Im a Birmingham City fan too. Two games stick in my mind. We won both of them! 😂😂😂
Funny how this guy now have more than 2 ballondors 1 euro 1 wc and many goals for real what a player
He won euro and wc, what?

500k!!!!!!!! LETS GOOOOO
2019 el año que debuto una creciente leyenda llamado Jude Bellingham, de tan solo 20 años, que seguramente dentro de 10 años tenga al menos 2 Balones de Oro 2 Champions y seguramente una Eurocopa con Inglaterra
At 16 he could handle full Bielsa Leeds who were probably the fittest and most drilled team in the league at the time proves that he is the definition of an 100 million pound player
Balon D'or already locked in unless Madrid absolutely implodes.
I always thought this lad had what it took. As daft as it sounds as an Engliish lad he isn't under the microscope as much in La Liga as he would have been @ United in the Premier League. Shame he went abroad, but he's class. KRO.
Being a leeds fan i remember this game well he was class😂also living in spain atm so its really good to see him tearing it up at madrid and his brother scored against us this season too hope he goes to Madrid as well 😂 thankfully we have our own star Archie gray 💛🤍💙
Not anymore, you don't. He should have gone to Brentford though, sitting on Spurs' bench will do him no good at all.
You predicted it perfectly
aged like fine wine
Jude bellingham is class
This was a crazy game
Peak Bielsa ball
Peak Bielsa Ball
That’s a kid who works hard
Put into perspective being 16 years old in a team full of grown men and ignore his amazing performance it’s his attitude, he’s cocky, confident and dominant. Most 16 year old’s wouldnt say boo to a goose he was barking orders at veterans and screaming at the crowd to raise the noise all in a positive and influential manner Young kids take notice “attitude is everything”
Dortmund's scouts are crazy
From Birmingham to Real Madrid, some saying the best player in the world, dayyyyymmmmm
If it was me I'd have stayed at brum so I could help them out of being a mediocre midtable side and actually achieve something with the club.
You need the right players and investment from the club for that mate…
that's why you aren't him.
Number 5 so underrated
Buying his brother Jobe in fc24 career mode with potential of 83, looks like he will turn into the same quality player
do people really think that one match alone decides if a club buys a player? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I come from the future, this guy will be the best and will end in the Real Madrid
when hes old, i hope he comes back to manage brimingham
Class
es increíble lo que jugaba para tener 16 años akajajajajj
what a player
I like how theres 3 england players in this video
I think this mostly goes to show that when a young talent starts to really show they can play bigger teams should get them and then PLAY them. Because playing with better players will make them better. Honestly how many young players succeed in the championship but end up having to go abroad to some mid table Spanish team to then get some attention, that they probably already deserved a bit of. just my thoughts tho
Here from the future. He scored a brace in his first el Clasico.
Was he just 16 here? Pretty amazing
Lovely assist from Muguire😂😂
whys it look like the 09/10 season not the 19/20
WELCOME TO REAL MADRID BOY!!! THE WORLD IS YOURS
Think they decided to get him before this match to be fair.
Kopa Trophy ✅
Ballon D'Or ⏳
00:38 - is that Ben White?
Literally just said the exact same thing
As a Real Madrid fan, I feel really uncomfortable watching Jude playing RCM, really used to see him on the left.
Quién viendo esto ahora que Jud juega en el Real Madrid
He really is a generational talent isn’t he
Still honestly kinda depressed that he’s a week or so younger than me tho
The real winner here is the Dortmund scouting network and coaching staff.
Steven Gerrard reborn
bellingham vs ozil it's very pretty picture of diferrents generators
It's hard to see other European clubs attracted to English players. Well they love playing in England with a high salary even not play for top 10 club in EPL.
i love him
Intelligent link play, composed in front of goal, plays all over the pitch. Meanwhile, all we see is the occasional goal scorer..
Now it's Jobes turn
Before he tapered his hair at the sides
I was at this game he was so good
its me in our school football cup. i do everthing for the team but iam not close to get so good
Average Prem player
Exceptional championship player
Difference in quality
They said same thing with soooooo many players. Year after year. Its Boring. Like some game, build them into some kind of superhero, then knock 'em down again.
🤭
Been had the "it" factor
What kind of boots does he wear?
Ucl winner now
