In almost no time at all I was able to flip my Tre flips perfectly, what's more I was landing even with the bolts every time, yet I absolutely couldn't figure out why I wasn't landing them until my buddy told me I wasn't keeping my shoulders straight like you would on a kickflip. It was the single most important trick tip I ever got. In a week or two I was probably more consistent with them than any other trick. The felt amazing
Does having bigger wheels perform better? I had two boards. One rolled like it had a bunch of cat hair stuck in it. The other, also a walmart board but meant for teens, I couldnt just walk onto the board, I had to have my front foot ancored ( right foot as Im a lefty ) or it would roll away from me.
Ape hanger back foot😂 why is this gen so focused on making things easy people used to pop a tre up high why ruin that ? Your foot touched the ground before the tail bro .I'm sorry but that is not a real tre.
@@Skiddyskates Jason Lee was right there's no pow ya gotta have that pow gen z tres sound like hotline bling .when I pop mine where da hood at starts playing.
It's literally the easiest trick. People think it's hard because of the way the board flips but the footing and snap is honestly not any harder than a kickflip
I heard somewhere that a helpful trick for tre flips is to hang your back foot off the board a little further than what feels natural to you. It helped me immensely with getting them to be consistent. Like, hang your back toes right off the board, it helps the scoop.
I broke my tibia and fibia doing this down some stairs 4 years ago I haven't really picked up a board since then I tried skating again here and there but my ankle hurts to much to try to do any trick now a days , plus I never got surgery for my injury and they wanted to put a few metal plates in my ankle but I decided against it but almost 5 years later I should've gotten the surgery I think was 20 at the time now I'm 24
I disagree with point 1. Every time I did this board ended up in front of me. Keeping my weight centre aligned between my legs is the way to go for me. Then I release the tension built between my feet and concentrate that energy to the back foot but all that while maintaining centre alignment. The board spins perfectly under my feet.
Am I the only one who feel like tre flips are the easiest flip trick. Like it wasn’t always like that but once I learned them it feels like one of the only tricks I know I’ll land like 99% of the time
Leaning back is wrong bruh. You gotta be leaning over the centre of the board so it stays under you, just all your weight on the back. Most important part is the scooping behind you like you said
Tre flips had stumped me for years! Until I switch to a shorter wheelbase board then I started being able to land them consistently which then transferred to bigger longer setups
Wow honestly very good tip, that is true a time I was getting the hang of them I did notice that yeah if you keep your weight over the back shoulders straight it helps a lot
When I do my treflips I usually also try to keep my shoulders straight with the board which helped me when you land kinda sideways like the first tre bail in your video. I mean it helped me just food for thought
Jumping/leaning forward is probably the most important thing I'd say... i was really pretty good at skating and these would always drift out in front of me. Could flip them prefect every time- but rarely landed them. You really gotta get your body in front and ahead of the board (at least how i flipped them).
Question, when people say to lean back doing a skate trick does that mean, lean back in the direction of your butt/back or lean back towards your back foot?
Most people have a hard time standing and want to move straight into tricks, that’s the problem with people trying to learn skateboarding at this day and age. No one new knows what it means to wake up and use your board to get to school and literally just getting comfy on a board. It’s a lifestyle so treat it like one and tricks will come easier. (Dressing up and acting doesn’t cut it)
not only clean tre, clean edit! nice

Fuck yeah. Nothing like having a homie help you unlock a trick.
Jumping forward onto your board was probably the hardest part to learn
What it means forward here? Forward towards the board nose and direction the board is rolling? Or forward in relation to your body?
I’ve been trying for kinda 8 months rn and still practicing… hope to get it today puahahahaha
was that settles bridge?
I do the tre flip perfectly but I keep slipping out how do I fix that?
the board does the rotation but it always lands hella far away from me

That cat hair is a menace.
Very cool
Omg I needed to hear this I tre flipped off a box once and smacked the back of my head on the concrete

Dude was married to not landing tre flips
Omg I just did my first Tre today, the key was looking at how your back foot kinda scooped inward and at an angle
This loop is so clean I watched 3 times with realizing

Its Been months i am tired i think 3rd one gonna help... skating sucks
Im a bit of a beginning skateboarder, and i have a question, whats the difference between a tre flip and a variable?
I broke my tibia and fibia doing this down some stairs 4 years ago I haven't really picked up a board since then I tried skating again here and there but my ankle hurts to much to try to do any trick now a days , plus I never got surgery for my injury and they wanted to put a few metal plates in my ankle but I decided against it but almost 5 years later I should've gotten the surgery I think was 20 at the time now I'm 24
360 flip becomes easy when you trained hard on him , like many years, no magic. Just skating a lot a lot a lot.
I think tre flips are slightly easier for goofies than regulars
I disagree with point 1. Every time I did this board ended up in front of me. Keeping my weight centre aligned between my legs is the way to go for me. Then I release the tension built between my feet and concentrate that energy to the back foot but all that while maintaining centre alignment. The board spins perfectly under my feet.
Since when did 360 flips start being called treflips?

I'm sooo close to landing it. I stuck it 3 times but slipped back got any tips?
One thing that makes your way harder for people is that you are squatting so low compared to a lot of other peoples style.
I feel like scooping as hard as I can but can only varial
i hate it when tre flips get to the side!
it needs to stay right beneath you or it aint satisfying
Should’ve told us ta practice that pop shuv first
hey man you live in atlanta? awesome man me too!
I never did figure out how to do a tre flip
How long he been growing his dreads out for?

Thanks man, gonna try these tips out
Thanks 👍
👏🏼 I need to try these again
Great advice. Someone gave me the same tips in the 90's. Time tested true.
Tre flips broke skating. They're the biggest game-changer.
Do a frontside flip tutorial
How do you jump foward and lean back the same time
You lean back before the trick and jump forward as you scoop.
Nice looking tre flips!
Thank you for the compliments

Interesting when learning them I always landed on my nose. So, I had to try to do it to manny to get the landing right.
U be at settles?
your dreads is crazyyyyy

Towards the back of the board.
Nice
Thank you. Hope it helped

EPIC! also use wax on your tail edge -where it makes contact with the ground so it'll hook better! hope this helps byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
