What’s cool about Mick is that he moves like he wants, or what feels good to him. He really puts it all out there, in his vocals and stage presence, without inhibition. Not easy to do if you’re a self conscious human, which we all are. He rises above it, with balls and soul. The mighty, mighty Stones!
Loved it, Wyman lays down a badass bass line and Charlie Watts keeps perfect time behind it all...this was so out of left field and I remember thinking it was really powerful at the time on the pop charts.
whats funny is that i remember this song as a kid playing space invaders at the local Krauzers and hearing it all the time on the house radio... i thought it was cool but i remember thinking it was weird when he started kinda talking.... but i still liked it... fast forward 20 years and im playin guitar and singing in bar bands and learning songs and learning the ins and outs of everything, life and music and what not.... ... and i hear this song for the first time in decades... and it hits COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY.... i now hear the sparseness of the composition... i hear the misogyny... i hear mick being a woman and a man at the same time........ its a good song but its so much more than just the musical aspect of it that i heard as an 11 yr old kid.... its different now.... and that makes me sad...... cuz even though i can still feel faint glimmers of my childhood excitement upon hearing this song... my "adulting brain" takes over and says if that mother fucker tries that line on my daughter i will fucking shoot him in the balls and chop off his dick and ram it strait down his throat.... but i still like the song...🤷♀
This is such a good little tune. Comin to your emotional rescue. Funny thing, when I typed the word emotional in the sentence above, iPhone wanted to autocomplete it with ‘emotional damage’.
It seems like so long ago that I first heard this song and was blown away! My mom even liked it! I'm quite a fan of The Stones too. I can't think of one song I don't love from these guys. I'm glad you're such a fan Biz! Peace!
I think the Jagger's "moves" are about his swag and trademark style of dancing. No one would ever confuse dude for James Brown, MJ, Janet, Prince, ect....lol...But it's all about his stage persona. If you've seen enough live clips or videos you can def. see the "Jagger moves," which kind of set the stage for other rock frontmen. Dude does not care...lol.
You should totally check some Keith vocal songs from the stones. He had a very distinctive style thats so unique. Little T&A from their album tattoo you or Cant be Seen, theres a great live version of that one. Two classic keith songs with great riffs. Anything from Tattoo You is also a total banger ua-cam.com/video/kBzJ4QyHEL8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheRollingStones-Topic ua-cam.com/video/gIbrXoX8gAQ/v-deo.html&ab_channel=elnegrovilla
Ha! I agree, where are the dance moves? I'm not sure -- but I heard that Tina Turner helped Mick 'back in the day' with adding some dance flair on stage. Could be the live shows that has those moves? If you find them, let me know. And then let's credit Tina!
The stones went “ glam” in the late 70’s …they were not happy with the direction they were heading after “ exile on mains street “ album… one of the reasons why Taylor left!
He reacted to Brown Sugar about a year ago. The lyrics were a bit of a struggle for him... I lmao watching his facial expressions! lol!!🤣😂🤣Here's the link, enjoy if you'd like: ua-cam.com/video/TQULHwZ3TQo/v-deo.html
Charlie Watts (RIP) and Bill Wyman, a very solid rhythm section. Ok, ok Ron Wood and Keith Richard are pretty good on Guitar, and Mick can carry a tune,

Im pretty sure thats ronnie wood on bass with this track, keith has mentioned that ronnie is better bass player than a guitar player
Oh man! I forgot how much fun that song was! Thanks for bringing back the memories.
FYI…The Stones are releasing their first new studio album in 17-18 years.
One week from today.
Titled “Hackney Diamonds”
Hard to believe they were ever that young!
You cannot ignore that bass. Mick's moves are pure Mick. Hilarious. IMO
this is the song that made me fall in love w/ the Stones back in 80......
Awesome song!
So original! Love the Stones! Miss Charlie!
Appreciate the reaction!
Thanks Biz
You're right about the Marvin Gaye sound. Mick had heard Marvin doing falsetto and incorporated it into this song.
Woof! Rolling Stones. I was 17 when this album was released. OMG. I was gone.
When Mick uses his falsetto voice he reminds me of Prince. Love it!

🤣😂🤣 That's hysterical!!
I had the privilege of seeing them in concert. This is a fun song and i love the video.

Their last disco-type hit
Day nights or mornings don't you just wanna dance when Emotional Rescue comes on 🕺🎵🎶😀💎🔥👌☘️🇮🇪
Biz you’re coming for our emotional rescue lol🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'd kind of forgot this song. Reminds me of Prince! Thanks for keeping on with the Stones.
Awesome show loved it. I love the Rolling Stones Solomon Indianapolis in 2015.
💯 One of my favorite Stones joints! 🔥
I listen to classic rock all the time and once in a while you a song I’d forgotten about! I love your reviews ❤ keep rocking 🤘
When it first came our, i was like what the hell is this shit, Disco? But of course , i have come around over the years, now love it
The Stones are so much fun ...... Mick is such a character ...... He makes me laugh .... Love 'em!
The Jagger moves are more of a live thing.
Charlie looking as excited as ever to be in another video.😆😆😆
Biz another great reaction! One of my favorite Stones songs. Some have called this their try at Disco! Stones don’t do disco!
Very unique song!!
Singing along fun

The Stones were just too cool for school. 😎 For moves look for the Jagger/David Bowie duet Dancing In The Streets and see what you think, LOL!
The 80's best of the best...
You need to watch a live concert performance to see Mick move like Jagger
The guys are tight on this one! Love it.

Not for nothing, but: This is The '70s.
No question. No argument.
Period.

CRANK THAT SHIT
Rolling Stones Disco Album…….(1980) adapted to the era 🔥❤️
The stones went “ glam” in the late 70’s …they were not happy with the direction they were heading after “ exile on mains street “ album… one of the reasons why Taylor left!
Love this and def hear the Marvin Gaye in there..
BROWN SUGAR-ROLLING STONES

Phish sometimes covers this song. They improve on it because there’s a great groove in there they phish plays with that the stones just can’t do.
Definitely a Marvin Gaye style tune!
❤

Oh man you miss the whole point above go " the moves" like Jagger". .. its just he he move around about without a doubt.. freely flowing
🤟🤟
Only Stones i want to hear is 69-74. If you haven't heard that then you dont know the Stones.
Love the funky beat, but Mick singing falsetto is weird - IMO 😝
I will be your night in shiiining arrrrmour......
For some strange reason I don’t think his intentions are good 😂😂😂
Reminds of Marvin Gaye because the Stones loved Marvin
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
