OK, fair, but how would you call this then? It's for me not possible to have physical printers on my channel before they are not released yet. Also after they are released, I'm not able to buy every new printer.
@Zachary - I think you must have gotten yours as a freebie because no one I know was happy with the original Snapmaker let alone Snapmaker 2.0. In fact this artisanal one seems to be what the Snapmaker 2.0 should have been and those amazing customer focused folks at Snapmaker didn't even have the decency to offer previous customers/supporters a discount. This is the Mac of 3D printing/CNC/Laser engraver - looks good but the minute you step out of the bounds they have set for you it becomes a nightmare. You can see this influence in their promotional material, their own manuals, even the background workshop layouts they have. It does 3 things but none of them well and apart from a large volume 3D printer the rest of it is more on a toy than tool level. Not for anyone serious about any of the 3 tasks and not for anyone who wants to tinker to improve things. You hand over alot of money and take what Snapmaker give you like a good little consumer/customer, if your really want to push the boundries you can try to work around its limitations where possible but some of them are just so derp its not funny. If you compare it inline with other high-end 3D printers it just doesnt stack up, 150-180 is barely faster than you can get on a souped up Ender 3 S1 with Klipper and its smoked by the Bambu Lab X1and hell for 3K you can get a voron pre-assembled. As a previous Snapmaker customer (and never again) who tried really really hard to like what Snapmaker were doing save your money for maybe the Prusa XL which will likely have comparable functionality but with far far better support both from the company themselves and the community. Snapmaker can never match up and its clear they are focused on a closed eco-system which is hilarious because sweet FA of their original and Snapmaker 2.0 stuff is interoperable.
Hi David, sorry for my late reply on your comment. No I didn't receive any freebies from Snapmaker. I received the J1 from the Kickstarter campaign last Feb. I have heard a lot about the issues of the 2.0 and their bad customer service. There are better printers for that money. And this Artisan is way out of my budget, besides that I don't have the space for it
I pre-ordered 1 in August of 2022. and they come in 2 boxes A-B they only sent Box B. The shipping label says Box 1 of 1 And right on the box it says 2 of 2 Box B so they send it out that way Box B is mostly the enclosure. No hardware and tools booklet wires Are in Box A. I got a useless pile of parts over 2 months late 2/23/2023 the phone number on the website is fake not connected try it for you're self!! E-mail is automated reply. don't Buy snapmaker products !!!!!!! Total Rip Off !!!!!
I understand what you say… first of all, my channel is small, second, this machine comes out in September, third, I never mentioned as a review in the title or in the video, and this machine is expensive for me too buy. See these videos as a information, notice or my thoughts about the machine.
With a price tag of almost $3000 dollars.... they better include EVERYTHING!!
