Yay, the Labmariner are back! Glad to see Anubis, Mocha, and Nuala again. 🐶💕🐶💕🐶💕 The underwater part in the Thunderball Grotto is spectacular. Rays of light highlighting parts of the cave and fish swimming back and forth from the shadows are really beautiful 👍
It was so nice to be able to get the dogs some real walking time. In the Exuma Land and Sea Park we were limited to the beaches for walks and we've found the craggy terrain on some of the other islands to be very hard on their paws. But this area was great - more people around so this meant lots of pets for the labmaraners 🐶🐶🐶!
Quick Question: Can't organic waste (like food, etc) just be put overboard when offshore? Genuine question as I'm trying to start figuring this out before we start spec'ing out what we want in a cruising vessel...
I'm not an expert in this area 😀. The Bahamas falls under the MARPOL treaty which allows solid food waste 12 miles or more miles from land and ground food waste 3 or more miles from land. Certain areas in the Bahamas are protected under the Bahamas Trust (such as the Exumas Land and Sea Park) which do not allow any waste within their jurisdiction.
