All true christians believe that Jesus is one of the devine person of God and that one will only go to heaven if Jesus let you enter heaven on judgement day according to his condition which are repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. Most of the wars between churches were because of political reasons only.
2) The fight between shias and sunnis are not for political reasons only. Each muslim sect believes that the other sect commits shirk.

If you think it was political only, you need to study the crusading movement and how religion was used for it, otherwise, don't make such claims without knowing please.
As for the fights between Sunni & Shia, no. The origin of the break between them was not religious. One side believed the next leadership should be decided amonst a consensus, the other believed it should remain amongst the Prophet's family.
As years went on and the break increased, "then" some of the practices came into being amongst the groups to today.

As someone who has been debating(unofficially. I did debate Central Dawah and a few others which are on my page) the topic of Muhammad in the bible for 10 years, I have to say this debate was definitely different from the questions brought up by Maleek. Most questions I felt had very little to do with proving Muhammad was the comforter but with whether in the past people thought the comforter was a human or spirit and not on what the scripture actually says. John 14.17 should end any and all debate on Muhammad not being the comforter.
Malek displayed a lack of reading comprehension and showed he was never taught that when you read something you find out who the speaker is and their audience. Clearly, we read that Jesus is that speaker and disciples his audience, and what he was saying applied to them not people 600 plus years in the future.
John also shows that the said comforter will be sent on behalf of Jesus, from the Father who made Muhammad come from Jesus, not Allah. Mallek had an interesting point in bringing up John 20 where Jesus breathes the Spirit on the disciples and GodLogic's answer was a good one. One that would have stumped me as no Muslim has asked that in the past. I felt the other questions detracted from the actual goal of what the scriptures say about it and not what others say. Good job on bringing up the Church Fathers.
I have always debated based on what the scriptures say but this was definitely something to think about as seems Muslims are becoming more desperate and clever with their arguments. Good job Brother Avery,

How can Muslims appeal to the bible to say a spirit is a human when ephesians 6, acts 7, luke 23, ecclesiastes 12 to name a few, all clearly separate the spirit from the human body? The spirit is the driver of the body, what gives life to animate the flesh, the soul is the mind, will, emotions, personality of the person and the flesh is obviously the body, the bone, tissue, muscle, blood, etc which brings me to another point Muslims struggle with, if we are a trinity (body, soul and spirit) and we are made in God's likeness then why does it surprise you that God is a trinity also?? Can any Muslim refute these questions? I'll wait.....
The trinity is a great analogy and doctrine on how truly a God outside of his creation comes to show his face and take part inside of his creation.

"Who is the Comforter?" - The answer to this question is very simple as it is the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is identified as God in the bible.
In Maleek's 1st rebuttal he stated that Avery did not address anything that he mentioned in his opening statement. Opening statements are not meant to be rebutted by the opponents opening statement. That is what the rebuttal periods are for and the cross examinations. I think that Maleek is confused as to how opening statements work in debate.
In Maleek's first cross examination he asked questions like for example Deut 18:18 which has nothing to do with who the Comforter is. This shows that Maleek could not stick to the topic of the debate, and this is only one example to prove the point I'm making.
Avery effectively demonstrated based upon the very specific questions he asked Maleek in his cross examination that Muhammad could not and is not the comforter according to John's gospel account of Jesus Christ.
In Maleek's closing 5-minute statement what i got from it was a lot of chest thumping and a lot of what he said did not even pertain to the topic of the debate. He pointed out that Christians have variant manuscripts which we do, and we are very open about it. However, the variant manuscripts do not affect any core beliefs that Christians hold and being taught by the New Testament and the bible as a whole.
Avery's 5-minute closing statement was pretty devastating and summed up the debate pretty well. It also reinforced that Muhammad cannot be the comforter according the simple basic questions that was asked by Avery about the gospel account of John.
I also have to say that Central moderated the debate pretty well as he was fair to both sides.
Maleek is all offense and no defense. Just a showman who contradicted himself, danced around every question just to milk the time. Seemed scared to answer Avery's questions directly.
This debate could’ve ended with one question: “How many attributes does Mohammed have?” Then by simply going to Scripture showing The Holy Spirit has Divine attributes such as eternal, all-knowing, holy, truth, all powerful etc.

The references Muslims vainly cling to about this are mentions of a comforter to follow Jesus in John chapters 14, 15, and 16. Both of these are more Islamic lies. Jesus did warn us that false prophets (Muhammad) with false Gospels (Qur'an) would follow Him, and try to deceive many.

“Holy Spirit” is read as “Holy Spirit” in earlier manuscripts than the Syriac manuscripts. It’s in the codex sinaticus, does this not conclude that basis in which he attempted to create his argument falls apart ?
The concern pertaining to John 20:22 and Acts 2:4 is actually simple to distinguish. John 20:22 is Christ showing Himself as God and completing the recreation/renewal of humanity. John 20:22 parallels Genesis 2:7 where God breathed (emphyso) into man's nostrils the breath of Life after creating man in the Garden of Eden, so once again Christ breathed (emphyso) the breath of Life (Holy Spirit) into man to seal humanity with the Holy Spirit once more.
Acts 2:4 is associated with the Church being established on Pentacost and the rest of humanity now being able to receive the Holy Spirit, since the disciples already received the Holy Spirit in John 20:22. Just because in Acts 2:4 it says "being filled with the Holy Spirit" doesn't mean the disciples didn't have the Spirit dwelling within them. Other instances of someone being filled with the Holy Spirit, think of Elizabeth with the Virgin Mary, Zechariah the father of John the Baptizer, and Paul with Barnabas after Pentacost in Acts 13. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit before and after Pentacost.
God fulfilled the prophecy from the book of Joel the Prophet at Pentacost with God pouring His Spirit upon all flesh since the rest of humanity, asides the disciples since the Spirit dwelt within them, can now receive the Holy Spirit to be renewed/recreated in Him with the ultimate goal of being able to become incorruptible and immortal as God had planned from eternity for man.

But honestly, you could defeat his entire argument just by holding him to the rest of the passage he cited in John where Jesus talks about the Spirit of Truth, since he appealed to it as proof of his claim. He doesn't get to cherry pick one sentence out of Jesus' discourse - if he wants to use it in his argument, then he has to accept the entire thing as authoritative; and once he's done that, he's already obliterated his own claim.

Something else I noticed, bro - a couple of times you let Malik get away with saying that the Comforter would convict _Christians,_ which he uses to imply this means mahomet convicting us for saying Jesus is God. However, the Bible does _not_ say that the Comforter will convict Christians: it says He will convict _THE WORLD:_
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And _when he is come, he will reprove _*_the world_* of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

The next step would obviously be to show _what_ exactly the Comforter convicts the world _of,_ which of course totally smashes any idea of it being about us worshipping Jesus as God.
