Hurricane Sandy power outage in Queens, New York already pt.1

Hurricane Sandy is just coming and we already have a short power outage for about 15 minutes here in northern Queens, New York. It's only 8:30 am in the morning of 10/29. The wind is supposed to pick up tonight. Buses and subways are closed as of last night. Have done some last minute preparations yesterday so hopefully it won't be too bad.

Many people lost power last night, luckily my house never did, I live in Queens too. I'm just hoping everyone's lives were sparred, I heard that there were reports of 5 casualties thus far. Thanks for sharing your status with us & I hope you and your family is OK bro.

Actually, they are telephone wires. We live in an older neighborhood so some of the tv cable wires and telephone wires are above ground. Electric cables are mostly underground. Thanks for commenting.

Power came back up 15 minutes later. No power, no modem and no Internet. I thought I'd tape first and post when power is available.

If a light wind can knock out power, I'd hate to see what's going to happen tonight.

it might be because further down where the wind is crazier it nocked something out? i have no idea :D
