"Just what the doctor ordered for a day after another blizzard & 22° F. " As always, David & Robbie, the funsome twosome......some men with some craic to brighten my day! Such a pleasure!
Yours and Robbie’s relationship is first class, be memories the little lad will always remember!! I used to love working with my dad and grandfather as a kid
Absolutely. The majority of these rams will go on to breed replacement ewes that helps maintain a higher lambing percentage than breeding replacements from single born rams. Over a few generations this reduces the overall lambing percentage of a flock 👌
The market for lamb in Europe is apparently for lighter carcasses so we don't get paid for any extra carcass weight over 23kg this time of year. The cut off weight is 21kg for spring lamb right up until Sept/Oct.
Your local strongman "cracks me up"! Good catch as well. What a rip-off not getting paid for extra weight on lambs.....seriously..... farming = the only business where the owner is constantly ripped off by the customer.
Hi all...loving your vlogs, very much appreciated, thank you. Sue & Ben( Woodhall Spa) xx
David looks like the pipe piper of Dillagh with his bucket and flock .great. Video😂
I bought your headstock today to help with lambing my Cheviots and Suffolks in West Wicklow ! Delighted I am !
The three wise men: David, Robbie, and Oisín! We won't mention Daithí for now! ;) Great stuff. Keep up the good farming.
Robbie is secretly a big fan of Daithí 😉
What a good little helper Oisin, and a good big helper Robbie.
Robbie is a Mighty character😅
That dog is worth his weight in gold. 🥰
Pops is lacking power but incredibly useful all the same 👌

It’s your ewe that produces the egg that determines how many lambs you have the ram just determines the sex of the sheep

I know I am spending you money but maybe you need a bigger trailer for all the moves you need to do.
Aye can see your merit ..but bigger trailer bigger vehicle..first lesson we were learned on the farm .."another man's money is easily spent ".
Absolutely right but it's a case of making do with what I have.
My wants would make a poor man rich...😉

I don't understand...*why* don't you get paid for carcasses over 23 kilos?

IIRC it was John F Kennedy said "The farmer buys retail, sells wholesale and pays the freight both ways"
Trust me two jags of ivomec classic one ML one ML 7 days unreal no itching no paracties lambs will thrive like goslings 👍😂
