We made it to the home stretch for paint on the 60. It's been a long process but we are here. Stay tuned!!
Congratulations! I’m so excited to see the color go on! 🎉💪🏆🏁✌️😎
1 month 😎
Hell ya man.
😎
Congrats brother. Gonna have a beautiful gem. 🫡🤙🏻
Thank you magicman. Hour by hour, inch by inch
Yeah, even as an amateur painter, I tell people the painting part goes pretty quick, the prep and body work is where most of the work is They look at me like I'm crazy. They just have no idea meaning they've never ever done it.
This 60 is gonna be sick, they are beautiful cars and if done right can really stand out!
Thank you...I'm an amateur myself. But everything I talk about is from my personal experience with products and processes
I understand the number of hours involved, most people don't realize the time it takes. I stripped my Mustang to metal, applied etching primer, 2k primer, sanded with 120, filled, primed, sanded with 220, f/b primer and 320, filler, primed then wet sand with 400. I lost count of the number of hours. Point being, it is labor intensive, but thats what it takes to get good results. The 60 is gonna look great.
Yes...exactly...and actually spraying the paint might be an 8hr day.....300 hrs to get to that point.
Looks so nice 🫶🔥🔥🔥
Nice work, I love Mirka best i have used thus far. So much time and work in those bigger cars to get them straight not to mention the amount and cost of product.
Yes...materials have increased atleast 50%. Thanks to our fearless elected leader
Man I'm so ready to see this old girl in color. Have you named her yet?
Let me know if you want to try out Dean's new 24" prototype. That boat could use it for sure! Great work!
I could review it if you don't want to?
@@lonestarlows I did already but a UPS snafu left me without epoxy to do much. It did finally come today. I’m on vacation next week so not sure how much I can get done for a few weeks now.
I wasn't planning to sand my car for about a month. Have a bunch of raptor liner to spray
Dam you are really move n along 👍🏻 i need to catch up 😂
Made some good progess this weekend. About 2 weeks ahead of schedule
@@lonestarlows im barly on the first blocking on the body had to get another hood so get n that sanded and get it in epoxy
Whoever said blocking a 25 sq ft hood isn't fun, is a liar.......lol
👍

@@lonestarlows KNOW, those who don't looking stupid right now ORALE!!!!
Lol. That was long time ago.
@@lonestarlows many moons ago, lots of fun times. el delfin and dj latin banned me and never came back.. TCS
For the final wet sand 400-600, do you do that with a long block or a DA? keep it up incredible work as always.
I like the punish myself so I do it by hand with long block...
You a bad mofo keep them videos coming
Is 2 quarts spi epoxy enough for 2 coats for underside of 1964 impala
That's a sprayble gallon. I'd say yes
Remember you have to epoxy before paint
Yes , I reduce is 25%
That's a lot of epoxy.
Yes. More epoxy and less 2k urethane. Only 1 round of 2k urethane
😃✌️👍
