this is so sad...i can’t even imagine this happening it shows how much the Chapman family believe God and know that he is in control and he has a purpose for everything. this was truly a terrible incident ❤️❤️
Wow. To see these young people talking so calmly about their sisters death on television, is so powerful and amazing. I wouldn't be able to talk about it that openly. I'd break down crying but I would basically say the same things as these two.
I hope and pray that my children grow up to be this mature, this kind, and this willing to accept responsibility. Praise God that we can all cry with hope....
I love how Will is wearing the Show Hope shirt... he has faced everything with such outstanding courage and strength of character... I cannot imagine the kind of pain he has had to deal with and overcome, and his ability to move forward and trust God truly inspires me. God bless you, son.
To be absent from the body is to be present with Christ. Knowing this for those in Christ, for this precious little lady, gives comfort in these terrible events. Accidents happen... God bless this precious family.
I can't believe SOME of the comments here. Just because we have the freedom to speak doesn't mean we should say whatever we want. Remember that one day Will will have children and he has younger sisters who will one day read what we write. This was an ACCIDENT even if there was negligence on any persons part. There was NO INTENT to harm that baby. So instead of having an opinion or thinkin YOU deserve answers, PRAY for this family.
@livnfree930 if you watch the first half of this interview they'll tell you what happened. Will was paying attention, but since there was a corner and Maria was soo little, they both turned at the same time. Of course he was looking.
@BrainRazer he's saying the very fact that he was asking God "why?" instead of disbelieving God altogether shows that his faith was still alive even at the darkest moments in life.
@livnfree930 Steven saw him drive in and saw he wasn't driving recklessly or talking on his phone. I think the reason there aren't many details may be because this boy's been through enough, and his parents want to honor him and let him gauge how much they talk about the accident. They've had to live all this out on the world stage, and some things really aren't any of the public's business. Will was in shock after the accident and may not even remember everything. They deserve some privacy.
The very fact that he pointed out those specific things tells me that his son was more than likely doing the opposite! I don't believe anything that came out of their mouths!
@livnfree930 of course will was looking, but Maria and will both turned the corner at the same time, and didn't see each other. Also they said in mary beth chapman's book choosing to see, that maria was so little will couldn't see her. He was driving a toyota land cruiser which is abig car.
Why does the elder son yelling "why" to God reinforce his belief in God as he said in the video at minute mark 4:15 and proving "how real God is" right after his young sister was killed?
@BrainRazer He can NOW understand that at that moment of tragedy he doubted God but months later when this was filmed he was able to see how God is lifting there family up above the circumstances and comforting their pain. I imagine that when Jesus died God asked himself why also, but then HE saw you. He did it for you.
@purenrggirl1 Well I listened. I didn't hear the thing about the corner. And I don't know...there's a lot of "ums" and "uhs"...not much detail to explain it.
I'm not a rocket scientist but I do have a brain and common sense which is something a lot of people lack these days. Also I am a true believer in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that lives in me has revealed to me that they're all lieying to protect their negligent and careless son. I pray with all my heart for God to do justice for that innocent little girl and expose what really happened to Maria Sue even if it takes a lifetime!!! In Jesus's Might and Holy Name!!!
There's no real telling of what happened. What's up with that? Just, "No I didn't see her"? Huh? I find this deficient. Was he looking where he was going?
I have not listened much to the chapmans since this has happened. Adoption advocates need to do better... there has been no transparency here. What's a kid that age doing behind the car?
?!? Are you serious? He (the driver) was 17 years old. Kids play and run and get excited to see someone drive up. There was nothing out of the ordinary here. There was no negligence. It was a tragic accident. And it has nothing to do with adoption advocacy.
Lee Abe it’s a good thing that YOU aren’t anybody that is owed an explanation. They’ve explained enough to the proper people I’m sure. This is just a TV show. It allows a story to be told.
My heart goes out to the Chapman family, I know is must be hard to deal with Maria's death, but they know that God is with them, and always will be.

What a wonderful job they have done raising their children & embracing & surrounding them in love. This is such a strong family unit!

Poor Will, i have been praying for him and with this interview he is holding up well
Because he got away with murder!
@@mariarivera6042 your proof of that would be?
@@sdacj I don't need proof because I wasn't there but God was watching and He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Lee Abe you’re gonna have to make a better case than that foolishness if anyone is going to take you seriously.
