Best Boat on the water. Prestige!!!!!
Very nice very nice👍
The problem with boats like this is the short range. 350 Nautical Miles, that is about 400 Miles or 650 Kilometers, which is about as far as I can drive my old car on one full tank of gas.
What do you do with that kind of range?
You drive out 200 Miles into the ocean, sit there for a while, drinking beer, then you drive back. Doesn't seem worth it to me, as much as I like the idea of the nautical/yachting/marina lifestyle.
Imagine having an RV in a world without gas stations. You can never drive more than 200 Miles away from your home. That would make RVs pretty pointless, in my opinion and it is the same with those small motor yachts.
@@D4Z35 Yeah. I'm still curious about what people use these short range yachts for, especially since they don't seem to be a niche product, but seem to be the standard and the most widely used kind of yacht.
Well, to be fair, the stat plaque for this one said it can do 350 NM at 25 knots. So I guess you can get further at lower speeds. It still seems pretty restricted to me. On the other hand, it is enough to reach the Bahamas from Fort Lauderdale/Miami... So I guess they make sense when based at the right marina.
To be honest, I never checked before, but when I just did, I was surprised to see that the Bahamas are only about 50 NM away from Florida. So in that corner of the world, 350 NM apparently are more than enough to visit a lot of nice places.
I always just assumed the distances there are larger.
So I stand corrected.
Must be nice, living in the Miami area and being able to do day- or weekend trips/cruises to the Bahamas in your own boat.
You just hop in your yacht and 2.5 hours later, you're in the Bahamas, you party and have a drink at a beach and 2.5 hours later, you're back home.
No wonder Fort Lauderdale is such a center and hotbed for that yacht/marina life, I mentioned.
That range is at cruzing speed 21 or so knots! Drop it down long range vessel speeds its double around 800 to 1000nm ! 8 to 12 knotts is a slow speed capable of those longer figures! I dont no why alot of people dont no this! All these yachts you see their travel distance is at cruzing speed! Thats how the industry works with specs! CRUZING speed! And with most yachts under 85 feet the full speed is usually around 30 knots! With cruz speed around 20 to 22 knots! Keep that in mind! Most yachts 50 feet to 85 feet will travel around 800 to 1000nm at say 8 to 12 knots! Hope this helps!
Nice video...I like the background music what’s the title?😉
