i think the glitching zombot turret on mark 2 was because in gw1 it had a design and feature that gw2 didnt have/implement there was a few features im surprised they didnt bring over
5:20 thw 4th point is one of the worst ones. Plants can camp on the tops of those roofs and spawn camp the teleporter while raining down bean bombs on capturing zombies. It is almost impossible to campture with 2 chompers on the ground and 2 peas on the tall roofs.
not to mention - some capture points, such as the first, second and fourth literally have places where attackers can just sit and hide in, probably left overs from gw1, but still would've been nice if this was fixed
Playing engi on this map is hell bro. the amount of times i couldnt build tps because some peashooter was sitting super far away in the tip of the playground point or the one at 6:08 and could just laser my tps down was super annoying bro. its def unfair that only zombie characters get gravity on their shots, like only mechanic can have a shadow of a chance to fight off a pea from far away because every other variant's shots dont have nearly enough range. dont get me started on the last point too, literally the most plant-sided point in the game.
I loved this map in GW1, going up the slope at the end and avoiding the tallnut cannons as an engineer to help get a teleporter up so your team could destroy the cannons easily and get in the heavily guarded mansion. The points leading up to it felt satisfying and rewarding to progress through as a zombie and felt cool to protect as a plant. It wasnt translated well in GW2 evidently.
Eh wallnut hills is still pretty mid. I'd put things like zombopolis and gwn solidly above it tbh. But other than that yeah gw2 maps were worse than gw1 maps overall. Not terrible like bfn maps but just not as good.

i think the glitching zombot turret on mark 2 was because in gw1 it had a design and feature that gw2 didnt have/implement there was a few features im surprised they didnt bring over
you can also spam scardy shrooms on the mansion section and since you can have so many in a line you can get a bunch of ai kills
As someone who's only ever played the first game I'm shocked, no issues in GW1
5:20 thw 4th point is one of the worst ones. Plants can camp on the tops of those roofs and spawn camp the teleporter while raining down bean bombs on capturing zombies. It is almost impossible to campture with 2 chompers on the ground and 2 peas on the tall roofs.
I think they should have added all of the maps from gw1. I liked them all.
True
i’m just wondering when any engineer will be able to build a turret right next to the point 😭
Love playing a cactus on this map because you can get onto some spots that a cactus really shouldn’t be able to get up to a gain a massive advantage.
you can tell this was a very rushed port to nostalgia bait and reuse content from gw1 because they were too lazy to make a new map
not to mention - some capture points, such as the first, second and fourth literally have places where attackers can just sit and hide in, probably left overs from gw1, but still would've been nice if this was fixed
Worst map from gw1, but still a great map because every map from gw1 is amazing. Gw2 improved basically everything except maps
Eh wallnut hills is still pretty mid. I'd put things like zombopolis and gwn solidly above it tbh.
But other than that yeah gw2 maps were worse than gw1 maps overall. Not terrible like bfn maps but just not as good.
@@superbrainz2357 Bfn maps were good. I'd take them any day over great white north.
Is this map even in the rotation cycle for Turf takeover or mixed mode anymore? I feel like I don't as many matches on here anymore
I have a huge issue with terrible lag on this map, whenever I walk around (as a zombie) I keep on rubberbanding
I don’t think you can upgrade turrets in GW2. I’m pretty certain that’s a GW1 thing.
Hence the bugginess. They didn’t fix the turrets.
@@LittleFrog4no, I’ve played this map before and you can’t upgrade turrets on this map. He either left on a mod by accident or did this intentionally to make the map look worse.
@@supermudkipz you can upgrade the turrets that spawn next to the capture points, but not the ones to defend the teleporter
How do you get walnut hills it looks fun to play but i don’t even have it in the the section is it an exclusive thing? 😭😭😭
When this map shows up it’s a guaranteed win for the plants
Fun fact the 6th point doesnt have any music cause like you said it uses seeds of time music.
4:31 i dont know if im the only one who gonna disagree with this but..for me i always do great as chomper in wall nuts hill.. i even did bunch of chomper montages there
I really wanted them to put in that map in gw1 where you push a golf ball
The Zombat turrets near the capture points are actually entirely leftover from GW1 and why they glitch out on the second stage was because their second tier upgrade got completely removed from the game and the devs never bothered to restore it or remove the second tier upgrade from those zombot turrets 🤣
And i thought 24/7 roof camping foot soldiers were the real problem for plant team
This map is just peashooters and foot soldiers camping on roofs in 99% of the lobbies
Tbh, I never thought they added other plant maps than seeds of time
still don’t know how this map was the most voted map to return, the first point is so one sided and extremely hard for zombies to cap first point
4:47 about that, in literally every other game i played this map, there were pots on that point and every other point. I dont know why you didn't have any pots. Although that map is garbage, it would have been better to put Main Street or Driftwood Shores instead. And dont make me talk about the "Aquarium". Oh my God, just put the original map instead of a zombie version of it (the new paths in the corners are good though)
I loved this map mostly because of my nostalgia for GW1 and because it looked so bright and vibrant in GW1 but i agree it doesn't translate the best to GW2, i also feel like other GW1 maps like Driftwood Shores and especially Main Street should've been added
Something extra weird about the music. The original GW1 gardens and graveyards music is already in GW2. It’s used in suburbination when a team is capturing a point so that makes the seeds of time music even stranger
Should’ve been either Main Street or driftwood shores
How do you play that map on gw2? I’ve played it once but haven’t manage to get to see it again
are you sure this is still in the game ? Cuz there only are 2 maps in turf takeover (zombie side)
Are you using a mod to play this offline?
This map would always freeze my ps3 when I tried loading in on gw1
I'd much prefer Main Street or Driftwood Shores, they're much more interesting maps. And the new classes would've been interesting for them, provided some parts of the map are altered because of the size of some of them.
Goated opinion
i think wallnut hills was brought back, not because it was fun, but for nostalgia
Ever since i bought torch and tails upgrade this map wont even load for me
i miss driftwood shores. it's my favorite map in garden warfare 1.
Same I liked protecting the big sunflower head or being a zombie and shooting it but I kept getting rushed when I went in to shoot her
Hear me out though, engineer on this map is very exhilarating, defending your teleporter is such a rush
They really couldn’t have brought the pickle rocket? Or the sunflower light house? Like bro!
THIS MAP ALWAYS HAD PARTICALS THAT STAY THERE
I think it happens the most
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE HOLY CRAP I HATE THIS MAP
it would be good if they just fixed the scientist ability bug
Which is worse this map or mincemeat metalworks from Splatoon 3
How were you able to play this on solo play it’s impossible to do it in solo play
mods
The same thing happened to me if you build that bot in there and I died to it it started glitching out and I got confused😂
ngl plants have no chance of winning if zombies reach the last point as you can easily switch to scientist and use that immortal war thing and walk throught the defenses
Are yoy playing on mod or something? I couldnt ever select wallnut hills
This map can burn its so bad
how did you play alone on this map and how did you play superbrainz on this map
modding, fucking obviously
They duplicated seeds of time and simply copy pasted the data from gw1
Look if it was a another map especially drift wood shores then we will live in peace
07:41 I always do this in gw1 and every time I do it my team wins XD
