I wonder why such great games never got to be popular. Even back in the day of their release I remember a magazine from my country talking about Ninja Warriors Again, they were praising the game and saying how much of a shame was the fact that it was a very unknown gem.
Woah.... back up.... this game is not unknown.... this game is a legend to us fans who grew up with the best of the Era of games That made us rock The anthem of generations.
I went prospecting for chiptune sound sets from Natsume published games, and I now find myself here. I saw the track length and needed to listen. This game has some high pass filtering going on that can be fixed. A company that cares about soundtracks as part of their art.
I know that one, awesome and very hard too. It is almost an unknown gem today, but back then it was well known and had a lot of coverage by the gaming press.
i agree i do miss natsume making kick ass action games with kick ass soundtracks as much as i love the harvest moon games i wish they take a break from making so many harvest moon games just for once and go back and make awesome 2-d action games again as they used from the golden age of the nes and snes
Go prospecting for Natsume made chiptune with really long track lengths and you’ll never go wrong. This is going directly into my 8 hour loop playlist.
Indeed, a HUGE improvement over the original which I think is awesome but Ninja Warriors Again just nails it, is awesome. Those were good times of Natsume developing very cool action games like Solbrain or Wild Guns with their unique style. Too bad nowadays they just make lots and lots of harvest moon games which are nice but I miss the quality of their action games.
Yes I even did a review of one of those nes games: Solbrain AKA Shatterhand. Great times indeed and Ninja Warriors Again needs a sequel because of the almost tragic ending it has.
oh and i cant forget that shadow of the ninja also deserve a sequel as well which is another awesome action game by natsume that not only deserve more love and attention but also a sequel as well
Actually, I always listening to this song while going around the city on my bike. But I think it would be even cooler if you do it while dressing in ninja suit and standing on a building's rooftop watching the whole city beneath.
It was hard but not impossible by any means, I remember finishing the game in hard mode using the blue ninja (my absolute favourite). Good memories ñ_ñ
Though i loved the whole soundtrack this was and still my second top fav BGM i still remember...Hiroyuki Iwatsuki is a bad ass composer still doing his thing in this era also!!
If you get a chance, check out the other soundtracks for the Super NES/Super Famicom games Iwatsuki-san has worked on, including the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series, Wild Guns, Ghost Sweeper Mikami: Gokuraku Daisakusen, Gekisou Sentai Car Rangers, and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Duel, to name a few.
haha yeh i did the year i made that comment. I also saw he did the soundtrack for Omega 5 game. there were some bad ass tracks on there too. Endless duel, yeah that one i already knew he did. That game still is one of my favorite soundtracks... Death scythe theme kicks ass man!!
your welcome and thanks for the recommendation of watching the happy console gamer's ninja warrior's saga review ^_^ i'll check out his review for sure but for now im going to take a nap because i was up all night playing this awesome super nintendo rpg on my wii u which was never released in your country at the name until recently called earthbound but i promised to check out the happy console gamer ninja warriors saga review as soon as i wake up so i'll see you later ^_^

wicked ^_^ and i agree ninja warriors again does need a sequel indeed not to mention wild guns also deserve a sequel as well and perhaps a pocky and rocky 3 couldnt hurt
One thing I like about this game is how you can pick up motorcycles and throw them at enemies. Though I'm technically new to this game, I often wonder two things.... #1: Why isn't there a kick button? (A should've done that) #2: Why can't this game be a multiplayer (2-3 players like Pit Fighter)? The game itself is still awesome though. I'm glad I added it to the list of games for my SNES emulator.
@CloudStrifeZX: The boss had a name!? I always thought of him as an evil, forty-something version of Andy Bogard (of Fatal Fury and King of Fighters fame).
i wonder about that myself and speaking of great games that never got popular and got ignored by the public and forgive me for changing the topic but are you fermilar with this underated snes gem called demon's crest which is the third game in the gargoyle's quest trilogy which is made by capcom and its a a spin-off of the ghost n goblins series which in the gargoyle's quest games you play as the red gargoyle name firebrand who was the minor enemy in the ghost n goblins series
well nevertheless you should give the gargoyle's quest trilogy review a look anyway its a awesome and funny review ^_^ you did got the review i sent you right

The only song that is better than the 2019 remake.

I'm talking specifically about Demon's Crest.
The blue ninja is the hardest to master.
really? I found it to be the easiest,. kamaitachi, the unfinished ninja was the hardest for me.
Isn't this the same sound set as gundam wing endless duel?
Makes sense
