My daughter works at a major hotel chain here in the States.Over the weekend she had guests FROM Australia. She mentioned how fascinated I was with the culture, wildlife, plants, etc. The lady gave her a miniature koala bear and kangaroo to send to me.❤ I am SO happy. Now I am going to have to order something from your store to add to my collection.

Today our bathroom stopped up and since our sewer line runs between 2 trees all I could think of was Roots. I just knew I was going to have to pay for a plane ticket from Australia to the East Coast USA.🙂 But after doing a few things I found out from you I cleared it up in about 20 minutes. I will say afterwards my husband asked where I learned to do that. I said The Penetrator of course.😁
An extradition of roots, objects, and overhauling the line as you go. It’s a real challenge to win this one…but you did! Your the best! Cheers Gavin! 🇦🇺🙂👍🇺🇸
Hey Gavin, too bad about the hose damage and the Gopro dying, Gopro's are renowned for dying! Have you ever thought of investing in a hose repair kit? Ollie, down here in Sydney has one, and on some videos has repaired hoses with his press and die type machine. Hi from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Nice catch Gav of the 'DIY solution species' which is becoming increasingly more common throughout the world. It is on a par with the 'wet-wipe' species known to cause drain flow restriction. The remedy is AVOID the aforementioned or call the Penetr8tor lol.
Gavin, I thought that drain was going to swallow your arm! You have some long arms! Glad you were able to retrieve the plunger head. Great video Gavin! Tell the ladies "HI" for me, have a great day!
Was wondering if the plunger would pop out & you would catch it. Even rig it to make it do that. Let's see Penn & Teller top that !! It could happen !!
Penetrator. Another great job and wonderful videos! Gotta love the multi-day jobs and real-world issues that you run into with repairs and such. Great content! Glad to see new Subscribers! Let’s keep subscribing, almost 40K!
Wow ,,,of all the things to find in the sewer pipe ,,a plunger,,,I bet you find all kinds of things in those pipes maybe you should make a video of of all those objects ,,roots balls frogs now plungers,,,lol great job at getting it out & not having to dig,,I love watching your videos 😊
Well all right there Mr. Penetrator... I didn't even see the plunger come out, guess I need to rewatch. Hey still waiting on the video of that enormous root...
I'm like you. When I was on the tools we had to clean out valve cases so we can make sure the valves key would fit on the valve and I would spend hours on one case instead of digging. I hated digging. That was a good one plunger head. Imagine all that good stuff 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
First time I've seen a potted plant (green ribbed) pot on castors (2nd visit by Open Relief Gulley), 🧐. Great photography/perspective on this job Gavin, no crawling on all fours 😅. Great job as always, thanks for sharing.
Great video🙃 A plunger head down there😂 well not anymore there ain't!! Question for you now that the roots are gone will Copper Sulfate keep them at bay?
I have to ask, why did you not slip a hose protector on? I have a length of 2" protector about 4 feet long with a rope connected for things just like this. Super job getting the plunger out.
Question: Why in so many of these cases there are root intrusion at so many connect points? Are these mainly caused by faulty pipe preparation ( i.e. just throwing them together with light to no adhesive)?
A few days back we checked the prices of your major equipment and they cost a bomb. It's really hard for a new professional to own all these tools. Anyways Good Luck.
Not sure if it was Gavin or Ollie, but they pulled a "personal massager" out of the toilet pipe. I guess it was probably knocked off the bathroom counter.
Seems to me what plumbers need is a device to grab a hold of something that's in a pipe so it can be easily pulled back. When you see what surgeons can do with keyhole surgery we must know the mechanics of how it can be done. Perhaps we should have a profession called "Drain Surgeon". I can see the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons having a sh*t fit over my idea though that would seem appropriate. 😃
I won’t get one. It’s less common for a split in the main reel and I carry a spare mini reel with me as back up. I will ask if I can record them at the repair shop next time I’m there.
A little to fund new equipment. We all have those days when equipment gives up the ghost. You are one stubborn, hard-workin' dude, Gavin.

It's not every day that a person finds a plunger head in the main line like that. 🤔 good job getting it out. 😊😊
I know you do not like picking up a shovel Gavin, However I kind of like it. Just for shits and giggles. Good video.

Fantastic. A very successful retrieval.
Glad you think so!
You you have such good work ethic. I’m sure most other drain cleaners would do exactly what you said …. Dig it up for $$$$$
Your day was a bit frantic Gavin with your Go Pro and the Jetter failing! Glad you got things sorted out and ready to video!
Thanks, you too!

great cleaning, keep giving those pipes their "colonoscopy" to get to the root of the problem
That's the plan!
This is edge of the seat viewing! Well done, Gavin.👍👍
Heck of a good job Gavin! You never know what you might find in a sewer pipe. Fine work sir.
Way to go!
Great content Gavin ✌🏻😎

Wow, musical drain sounded like a digeridoo!😂
Great job!!
Grrrreeeeaaaatttt Job Gav. Lucky you managed to get that out.

“Oh yeah……I remember that now”
Where is Mrs P to put out some of her favorites outtakes a d other videos?
Wow! What is the bird I hear singing around 23 minutes?
The answer to the question everyone may ask was it the owner trying to fix it, or a plumber in the past?
It was his
I thought you had a spare hose reel, and the mini-jetter hose, for the small pipes? Or just not enough room for them on the new truck?
Still have the spare mini reel with me in the ute
What is the oddest thing you removed from the drain other than a ton or more wipes (which had to be a world record).and a plunger head.
Not sure if it was Gavin or Ollie, but they pulled a "personal massager" out of the toilet pipe. I guess it was probably knocked off the bathroom counter.
Scene: Home owner feigns surprise and blurts out, "Who put that in the drain?"
How do you get clean after a day of sewers? Wife hose you off outside?
Question: has anyone's toilet ever had all the blockage come back up and overflow?
Yes
Hopefully not in your face!
I know it will be a good day when I am first to comment!

YOU NEED A REPAIR KIT LIKE OLLIE HAS SO YOU CAN FIX IT HOSE OUT IN THE FIELD
I'm amazed you don't have one of those repair kits !
