Great video. It certainly isn't the the most competitive neither does it have the best brakes or suspension but man does it make you feel good and put a massive smile on your face. I'll be doing the full review on the Z H2 2021 in the coming weeks, then have some mods to add such as the Scorpion can and Sprint filter (doing videos for those too). Will be an excellent comparison to the nakeds I have already done videos for.
So many priceless raactions and distractions throughtout this video haha! Love the first impression! I think the bike definitely is something of itself!
I’m not even joking when I say I’m easily distracted! You have no idea how many times I’ve tried to get a single coherent sentence out of my mouth without getting distracted 😂
Close, but not quite. The sound he is hearing is called wastegate flutter. Your only hearing it when he releases the throttle which slams the throttle plate close. However there is still pressurized air inside the intake tract. This pressure has to go somewhere. That’s what wastegates are for. The pressurized air will push open the gate, releasing pressure on a spring. This releasing of pressure past the wastegate causes it to flutter, or open and close rapidly causing the sound. 😀✌️
Weird, in my country, the price difference between this and the MT10 is less than $2000. Not a small amount, but for the value you're getting though... Also initial impression of it... it takes speeds EFFORTLESSLY. It doesn't feel like it struggles, and that makes the ride very comfortable.
Northwest Side have not been able to test the s1000r yet, so i’m not really quelified to answer that...BUT the BMW probably has better electronics and suspension from what i’m hearing from others.
Not as powerful, tuned more for roads instead of track. But that's not to say it's not powerful. It's like saying it's a tuned down rocket... which means it's still pretty fucking fast.
“Feels incredibly stable somehow”. Um yeah it’s not somehow, it’s due to the high quality Showa suspension components. You’re noticing a huge difference in stability versus the mt09 because the mt09 has budget suspension, the ZH2 has proper Showa fully adjustable ans in my opinion Showa is a close runner up to Öhlins. Someone once told me suspension is everything and it really is !
I agree! Just to fill in on that the SP model, which I am most familiar with when it comes to the MT09s, have upgraded suspension. I'm not sure if this or the "regular" MT is the one you are refering to? Suspension is definitely a key to everything though! Tnx

In my opinion in terms of look the ZH2 looks like shit compared to the Z 1000. Kawasaki lost the principle of naked bikes. Building fairing around the steering does not make it naked any more apart those visible pipes that made it more worse.
only sold 19( jan-Juni 2019) bikes totally in Norway, ugly design. KTM 1290SDR and Ducati Streetfighter (43 sold KTM) and 37.. it is a reason for that. .

Great video , but to buy Kawasaki Z H2 that don`t sell is a recipe to loos a bunch of money in the aftermarket.I would rather buy a bike that are popular as used and get a good deal on a brand new motorbike every 2 year. Take a trip to Allsupermoto in stavanger and try the new KTM 1290SDR they have a demo bike. I am a Kawasaki Fan and hope for a new Z1000 2021.
@@PsGetSid_ about re-sale value, you're right... I had the same thing with my Tuono; however, I'd prefer to take a small financial hit when selling it a few years later over riding something that 'everyone' has; I guess I like to feel special ;) For me the motorbike is more emotional than rational... I think it's like that for many people, otherwise everyone would ride a BMW GS ;)
