We bought my wife's 99 RX300 in 2008 for $9k with 125k miles. Now have 398k. Neighbors with new cars probably look at us as unable to properly manage our finances lol but I retired at 53 in 2019 and the wife will retire in a year. Buying iconic reliable vehicles like this Lexus rx300 and keeping it over 15 years is what makes you be able to retire early. Not buying new vehicles every 5 years.

My 02 RX300 has 290k miles.
I’ve replaced fuel injectors, knock sensors, coolant reservoir sensor, thermostat, spark plugs, all the gaskets on the top half of the engine, alternator, put a upgraded battery in it, k&n air filter, and rebuilt the AC, and some other stuff that I’m probably forgetting.
Might be a lot but it runs like a brand new car and I will get another 200k miles out of it!

My favorite one of the cars you were in was the 99-03 Lexus RX and it looked pretty good but just needed seat and bumper repair.

In 2005, I bought a '94 Toyota Camry Le V6 with 318k miles, but it sounded like it only had 135k miles on it...
The Lexus RX300 is a dependable SUV vehicle. 300k km is nothing on this RX...the trims are still nice. Just check its engine oil and coolant water, add fuel, and Ray you can go places on it...Good flip car though...
If the price is right,go for it.
you should be checking the frame on the trucks for rust i got a 08 ford f-150 with 78k rusted out frame with NO Body rust.

Just picked one up with 187k. Runs like a top. Getting keys and programming them is a pain. Flipping can be hard, the resale value is very low.

I have a 2000 one gold in color, great shape and interior with over 300,000 on it. Thinking about getting rid of it. I have 2 other cars in the yard and not driving that one the way it should be. I used to drive it every day. Was my daily driver until I got a different one. The clear coat is coming off in some places but when you start it up and drive, its like it came off the showroom floor. Drives like new.
I’ve got to give it to you buying a car with 300k in it. While it wouldn’t be for me. Someone just might. Good luck. I’m a Lexus guy through and through 🏖️

I notice rust on some of the vehicles like this truck you're looking at. What state are you in? I'm in Phoenix AZ. I usually buy vehicles from private owners and an online auction. I'm slowing down on the online auction because people run up the prices on vehicles way too high. Gotta check out my local copart after watching you for a while now. 300k miles in a lexus thats nothing . My lexus 2001 rx300 have over 800k its still runs like brand new. Just keep the maintenance on schedule it will last forever. The only major repair it is the timing belt thats it.
