That's sweet! I've been a hardcore Sim guy(wanna-be driver) for a while. Its really reassuring when the pro drivers say it actually works for proper development.
What GPX has done certainly changed our minds as to what was possible in a portable sim. Ryan had been struggling with the entry timing of T2 and used the GPX sim to try multiple lines and developed a rhythm prior to heading out. As a result, he was able to commit to flat from T1 into the braking zone of T3 and repeat the action. Huge immediate help!
So cool!! I‘ve never really been interested in PlayStation and sims, they’ve always seemed too removed from reality to interest me. But watching you both talk about the experience with your system sheds a whole new light on sim’s capability of providing a life like experience.
Ryan here - I can relate. In fact, I had stayed away from sims for years writing them off as a "game". While the GPX is still fun, it is much more of a tool than I had initially had given it credit for. Credit goes to GPX for assembling all the bits of best tech currently available in a package that is infinitely upgradable as technology progresses.
We had merch available at the races this season and will do the same for next. This winter we do intend to launch an online store with merch, memorabilia, and art pieces.
Thanks to calibration from GPX, both drivers were able to hop on and replicate race pace within 5-10 laps of running. In PCCNA we don't run with TC, but do run ABS. Since iRacing does not have ABS on the 992 GT3 Cup, we set the brake pedal pressure artificially high in order to avoid locking up the wheels. That, combined with stiff rubber inserts in the brake pedal, make for a very realistic and repeatable brake pedal.
@@markitrix You may want to check out ACC since the 1.9 update. ACC has ABS, but no TC just as as your series does. It's my favorite GT3 Cup sim. However I have no real world experience, so I would also be curious as to your comparisons. There has always been a discrepancy between how ABS works in real life and how iRacing implements it. In ACC, you can mash the ABS and rely on it just as IRL.
@@marcusmiller8267Yes same here, I started using ACC for our guys at work, server is private for real training and testing, pls join us at 407 Motorsport server.

Likewise, David.

How do you find the gt3 cup from Iracing compares? Do you see differences in braking, tc, abs?
