I feel first there should be a bill passed in the parliament to free all the elephants in India from the owners who are abusing the elephants... Only then I feel these huge giants will sleep peacefully.... When we humans, all alone can't sit in one place for more than one hour, why do we need to tie the elephants with those harmful and life threatening chains? Let's them live in peace and harmony.... I am sure these giants will not even bother you until and unless we think of doing something wrong... We need to take care of them with love and care .... Let's all join our hands and save elephants before they vanish from this planet.
I am happy that Raju was rescued and living a safer life, but why is he alone? Has he been living in solitaire for the past 10 years. That would be sad if true :(

It may sadden you to hear this, but this is far from the truth. They are abused and kept in a very hostile state so they don't retaliate, that's the reality of temple elephants. I've seen it 1st hand from my own eyes
