A compilation of video clips of World Cup star Kalle Pallander of Finland. Kalle is one of the best in the world in terms of technique and body alignment. Most of his turns and positions are biomechanically sound. In this video we can see a progression from basic medium radius turns in free skiing, to GS and slalom turns in the gates. I see a direct connection between racer's free skiing and his skiing in the training courses. Kalle exhibits flexion, re-centering and inclination on top of the turn. In other words, he demonstrates all of the trends of modern racing technique. I think coaches who still teach a lot of angulation in the beginning of a turn should take a closer look.
