I'm a painter myself, all the way from Trinidad here in the Caribbean... just love your videos. always keep me motivated. have myself a devilbiss flg-5 and a w400. saving to buy a pro lite. but best price here is like $4200. customers here want a flawless job and want to pay next to nothing. but your videos keep me going. thanks alot. and as always, great finish
This gun in the clear configuration in 1.2 ..lays clear down well, keep your overlap tight..Base Gun 1.3 works well. Both are nicer than any of the DV in my mind. Clear 28-32 or Base 26-28 but don’t get overly worried about it. set up as you wish.
I spray envirobase at 22 psi. 17 psi for control coat. I have a HTE 1.3 for clear but I just tried the 1.2 on demo and I loved it even more
I notice a pattern. If it's not made by Devilbiss there's a lot of small negatives on products here. Alot of the negatives are not always relavent to preformance. I had considered buying this gun though it's expensive. Preformance and longevity are what sell me

@@TheGunmanChannel Im just busting your balls a little buddy. No in all honesty I watch all your reviews on spray guns. I dont much like the look and placement of the regulator but appreciate that it can be removed. I think I'm going to order an HTE one for base as I hear it does well with metallics. I build custom rifles for people so naturally spray a lot of metallics, kandy, and color shifts on fiberglass stocks as well as clear coat the lamainate and wood stocks I make. I have found a really top of the line clear coat I have been using now for the last year that Ive found to be more durable, smooth laying, with less shrinkage than anything I ever used. Its from a company called Big Brian its there Glamour Clear and I promise its worth giving a try. Before that I used Matrix and Tamco which are good clears but not like this,

Ya I agree, the gun sprays well. you would think that a swivel on the gun would be a benefit, but it's actually lousy. The hose flopping around is annoying. Im sure I could remove it easily just need to stop long enough.
Gunman, in compare with Tekna pro light, TE 20 and 1.3 , what your opnion? Thanks
am new at this, but it looks like air brushes have needles which can be interchanged for material types, but on spray-guns, they have one designed with a needle size, and to change needle, change to a different gun or from "standard" to h.v.l.p. gun, and also one thing to think about is that for material types the seals are specific, ie between water/ epoxy/solvent paint/ adhesives/ wood clear coats, etc. so if you KNOW what the gun takes, no risk of corroding the seals, because the materials are always compatible.
The digital gauge is meant to be detached before spraying, put it in your pocket to keep it clean!
This is a base coat and this is clear gun....they sell two guns more often...it’s an obvious gimmick...ha...though most of us do have dedicated guns...I change up all the time...i get bored...so I’m always buying and selling..however...supernova is always spraying my clear..though I’m trying new guns all the time I keep going back to it...the type of clear we use can sometimes dictate what gun we’re reaching for...I switched jobs a few years ago and did a total overhaul ...is what it is.

I've been watching a lot of reviews. I paint in a production shop. I been spraying clear with a old devillbiss plus and its starting to spit and sputter leave with peel and dry spray to deal with. I've got to get a new gun. Please help
Just get a DeVilbiss GTI Pro lite TE20 1.3 👌👌 best gun on the market for clear.

All of the guns you mentioned will work well for clear. Gunman already told you his choice, now it is your turn to buy whatever you want.

I can afford a $20 HF gun at 63 next month. I sucks having 3 lumbar fusions since 1987 over 5 vertebrae, 2 of them twice. If they have you send it back, ask them what it would cost me and I’ll pay shipping. My son owes it to me since I am putting a new seat covers on his frames. I am going to paint a 54 year old GM truck so I have something to drive. It mine. Forced into retirement in 2009, ASE Master Tech since 1978, Omaha, NE.
You look tall, will it fit the hands of a guy 6’3”? Have you tried other tips/needles?

No, its not needed for all colours...

When you guys call it a cheater valve, is it just a bypass or dumping valve (internally OFC)?
it is a restrictor or regulator to reduce the pressure in the gun. It does the same thing that a regulator attached to the air inlet of the gun does less the gauge.
Where did you get the combo kit from

No, I wouldn't recommend this gun. A DeVilbiss is a much better option.

Not all lacquer thinners are the same they’re usually a mix of solvents like acetone and it always escapes much faster than urethane reducer. Stick to urethane reducer

Just a quick detail on the Carbonio, official weight on the spraygun with no cups and no gauges in equal conditions for main manufacturer is:
Walcom Carbonio 364g
Sata 5000 501g
Iwata ws 400 - 445g
Gti pro lite - 440g

There's no use in weighing a gun without a gauge if you spray with a gauge.
Weigh before you spray or why weigh at all, you could strip half the parts off any gun and say its light but what does that prove? Gun weight isn't the be all and end all anyway. I am happy to spray with a gti pro which is heavier than all of the above.
I agree with you, weight is a minor detail vs. the way the spray gun sprays, that's key and I hope that you liked the carbonio.
From my research in the spraying companies literature, the weight is shown just for the gun itself, that was the reason I did the comment but I agree, this is just a minor point.

The one I use yes, all products are different and I know some don't need to be thinned.

JCrewz Crewz He is a grand master and the fact that you over look his skills makes me as a newbie painter to this trade(only been spraying with spray guns for the last 6 months) question you're professionalism as a so called professor or "VIP Aircraft painter" and you may want to go back to just being a student if you can't learn a thing or ten from The Gunman. I don't care how experienced you are any veteran painter will tell you that they can still learn new tricks from other veteran painters. True Grand Masters never stop learning or perfecting their art!
well said dude, same here. I haven't been spraying for long either here, bout three years in the refinish trade as a prep tech, bout a year behind the gun. Doesn't take an experienced painter though to know a tool when you hear one XD seems like the guy just wants attention

+Gary Manis Jr on a technicality it's lighter but that's with no air regulator or pot, put the parts on and yes it's heavier than the others. It's just the outer casing that's carbon fibre.

Так что ты со своими провидениями лоханулся кажись... он всегда говорит, что главное цена и качество и не всегда нужно валить дурное лаве на новую игрушку, если и старые будь здоров красят
Нихера он не рекламирует. Он и сату сначала ругал , потом 5000 вроде нахваливал, с иватами такая же история... Он просто говорит , что за пакет GTi с дюзами и с головами, и их кол-вом в наличии, никто другой и близко не стоит. А качество у топовых пестиков настолько высоко, что намного важнее условия работы и сами навыки. У Gunman даже самой дешевой херней выйдет круче , чем у многих тут «мастеров».
