"K is in Trouble" - A Funny Middle-Grade Graphic Novel About the Absurdities of Childhood.

There are days when everything goes wrong. For K, that's every day. Gary Clement talks about "K is in Trouble" on this edition of "The Kids' Bookshelf." The book was inspired by Franz Kafka's childhood but morphed into representing Clement's own childhood.
Gary Clement is a Canadian artist, cartoonist, illustrator, and writer. He’s the author and illustrator of several children’s books, including The Great Poochini, which earned Canada’s Governor General’s Literary Award in Children’s Literature-Illustration. His illustrations have appeared in the “New York Times,” the “Boston Globe,” and many other newspapers and magazines across North America. He joins us to talk about his debut graphic novel, “K Is in Trouble.” It’s a funny middle-grade graphic novel about the absurdities of childhood.
