This sounds like a great trip. I started out in Florida and drove my Elantra all over the country, but I found so many places I couldn't go. It's what's made me want a Crosstrek. I hope you have a great time! I'll keep watching your videos and eventually get caught up to where you are in the present lol
I'm pretty excited, but my wallet is not as happy, lmao! I also can't wait to see how it comes together. I got all my interior measurements today, so now it's just gonna be a lot of brain storming to get to the building phase.
There are so many! Haha! Your best bet is joining a Crosstrek group on Facebook. You'd be amazed at some of the stuff people come up with. I can't say what would be a good mod for your trek, as I don't know your style, you know?
I’m curious of what you are gonna do for storage. I see you updated that mic as well. Videos are much better quality then a few months ago. Awesome work
Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of brain storming to get to the building phase, but I got the seat out today, and got measurements of the interior space. My brother is an engineer, so I'm hoping he can help me with this, haha! And thank you! I've been trying to make my videos a bit more professional these days. I'm still stammering in front of the camera, but at least now that stammering is clear as a bell, haha!
Well done, I want to pick up on something you said. Dealing with a spare tire. Your 5th tire is the same as the others I am assuming. And because of they are 215s it fits in the stock spare tire place. I asked this because I'm debating on what tire size to get. I don't want to do an external spare tire I'd like to keep it in the same spot.
Well, it may fit diameter wise (maybe), but width wise it will be about 1/3 of the tire too tall at least. But you could make some sort of cover so the trunk was still useable, but you'd be losing space inside either way. I currently have my spare just sitting in the cargo area. My spare tire compartment has an air compressor in it :p
Just another example of you can not have it both ways. Hey maybe there is some content for others here. "What to do with a spare tire". Spare needs to be same size as others, AWD issue. But if you want to carry it internally. There are things to consider . . . .I like your idea of raising the back deck.
@@tbonedaddy11 Thanks! And for sure! There are lots of people that want to do the same thing you are wanting to do, so I'm sure there are interested people out there :)
Woohoo! Rear seat delete! Nice. Looking forward to seeing how that goes. With lumber prices as they are these days, you may as well build our of aluminum :P Lemme know when you think you'll be in my neck of the woods and we'll hook up for a double feature ;)
Absolutely! I'm trying to get this done, the bumpers on, winch installed, and roof rack revamped all at once... no big deal 😥 I will for sure holler when I start heading that way :)
Right there at :31 seconds when Wade came from around the camera I said: "Look at the size of that boy"! "He has gotten So Big"! If you are ever in the L.R. AR area, hit me up and I buy Wade a meal, LOL 😉 and you, too!!😁
Can’t wait to see what you do
Thanks! I'm pretty happy to be starting this adventure, and I really hope it comes together the way I'm hoping it will. Wish me luck I guess! Haha

Haha! Glad you enjoy :) The trip has been great!
Awesome. Looking forward to your future build and adventures.
Thanks! I'll update as I go :)
Awesome man. Gonna be a killer setup for sure.
Thanks! It's gonna be some work, but totally worth it :)

What happened to the rally armor mud flaps?
I ripped 3 out of 4 of them off while wheeling, so no more mud flaps, lol
I am waiting for my 2021 crosstrek sport to be delivered, any suggestions for mods? This will be my first Subaru. Great videos!

Hey dude, mind linking where you got that addition to mount your rotopack to? looks like it attached to your roof rails?
That is called the Rack Wing by Orbis Overlanding: orbisoverlanding.com

Haha! Yeah, he's gotten pretty big, it's crazy, haha! And thank you for that offer, I may just take you up on that one of these days :p
