- Simple way to smooth out a rough shift.
This will work on all EARLY 8000 series John Deere tractors (black stripe decal) unless you have major transmission issues. For a simple walk though on how to calibrate the transmission on all 8000, 8010, 8020, series tractors I'll post a link below. This video goes through the process more in detail and is more for tractors that are experiencing issues.

Have you done a video on fixing the front shaft when the eclimp breaks and the shaft comes out? I know you mentioned it in the video where you broke your tractor apart to fix the clutch. Mine, the climp is in there, but shaft is out pumped all the oil out. Thanks for any assistance.
I have not done a video on that. If the shaft is out and the snap ring is broken simply put in a new snap ring and o ring and shove the shaft back in till the snap ring clips in.
Dang to calibrate you need to blow up the engine?
What version of software are you using on your older 00 Tractors? I have a 8400 that has many of the issues you are describing.
