Bravo!
It is very interesting to hear different interpretations of this piece. I once performed it myself using the Segovia transcription but there are other versions, one by Narciso Yepes on the 10 string guitar (which I mentioned before) and very good performances by Julian Bream, Alirio Diaz and John Williams. In the biography of JS Bach (in three volumes) by Philip Spitta you there is some evidence that Bach himself would sometimes improvise upon his own compositions.
This is a fine performance of a difficult piece. Now that you tube have lifted their upload limit, it is now possible to hear this whole piece in its entirety and having carefully listened to this I have noticed several deviations from the original transcription which was made by Andres Segovia. However, some of these modifications, in particular the variation which is marked by the note A played 'ostinato' , sound very much like the transcription which was made by Narciso Yepes.
I like this Chaconne on youtube the most! Thanks!
