I can't lie. It kind of hurts when I see how sweet, kind and loving Filipinas are, because I see it's genuine...it's from the heart and doesn't fade. On the other hand, having been in several relationships here in the States, IMO, Western women know how to behave sweet, kind and loving, but it never lasts, leaving you feeling stung and dismayed because you realize it was a short-term goal-driven act to try and "close the deal." Sad.

Actually we are staying at a bnb for 27 dollars a nite here in velencia, A's place, not huge but very nice, clean, jacuzzi on our patio and a pool. It's very possible in the phils for sure. Nice place Corey

Last time I payed $27 for a room was at Motel6, where you can hear people in the next room and if you're lucky someone will try to get in your room at two in the morning after drinking all night across the street...😐 Looks like you're in Manila, this ought to be interesting. Yeah man I love the price of hotels over there. 3 star for 20 to 35 bucks a night. Love it. Just booked my 2 weeks Oct. 14th to 28th. Cebu to Moalboal, then back to Cebu and down to Panglao Island. Btw, your wife is adorable, I hope you take that as a compliment 🤣

The Philippines offers anywhere from a standard hotel at $13 to $400 luxury and well over $1000 for super accommadations as most are surprised as to the quality and Cory and Rachel go to eat at some nice places and amazing foods inexpensive
I've traveled all over the white mountains, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and camping. Really loved North Conway for the coffee and ice cream shops.

If I could run my business from over there I would totally go. So big question.. it costs less there in the states so are most who move there retiring, already set with cash, run a business from there or work there? I have two businesses one is food delivery serve here in the states, the other is online survival business. I could probably totally run them from there as long as getting equipment in was possible.
In the past, you’ve done some good reviews of beach resorts up on the west coast side of the island about 30 minutes drive from Dumaguete… because of some health issues I cannot drive a motorbike, so how would I get to those places?
Sand bar view hotel or Lalimar I would take a car or the bus and get off near by. No issue with those places at all. The one on the mountain, I do not know if they opened the parking lot yet, so hate to say.
At this point in the year, is it pretty much advisable to wait to travel? Because of the rainy season? Tickets this summer were insane, I was thinking September but my work picks up so I may be waiting.

I'm coming to the Philippines this August. 27 dollars a night is totally possible. I rent a single home in a gated community for 25000 pesos monthly (400-something dollars/euro). There's a resort here that goes for 50k a month, including breakfast and rolling out of your bed and into a pool or onto the beach. Those are tourist prices for them, but are run of the mill or even slightly cheap rent prices to me.
