BMW procedure is to loosen all after the 8kNm, only reason to make a -180 instead would be to keep the gasket slightly in tension enough to avoid it to move, but it won't anyway, mean this angle use at step 2 is not necessary, BMW procedure is just all right as it is. Right way is one shot slow move to reach required torque at each tightening step, not always manageable, so at least a large last move uninterrupted until triggered, because of over torque required due to adherence and spring effect, with such fast torquing and trigger right at renewal you have it wrong. I laughed at last pass, was clearly not the last 90° or you are a beast! i would love making it so easy! In case, just to say, i'm not internet book warrior, just bringing it from real life.

i want to ask regards head bolts. i see you grease the bolts but i read in bmw manual and bmw not mention about that, then why do you do that?
