I don't get this unnecessary criticism of Raya, while simultaneously praising the likes of Allison Ederson and Martinez like they never make mistakes. Allison in the game against us. Ederson in the fa Cup final. And Marinez made a howler recently too. If Raya made any of those mistakes he'd get slated.
Lets be real if Arteta wins the FA Cup and no way near the title you would have said sack him too. He also a bit unlucky in the cup, we faced Liverpool, and in that game, we missed so many chances, Carabao cup im not bother about but you can lose in one off games. But this talk about replacing him when he brought us back to competing again? Its really weird. You can see how hard it is to win under this domination of Man City and Pep, no other manager out there who can guarantee you a PL win over Pep Guardiola and Man City. This season we broke a lot of records, most goals scored in our history, second highest point total in our history, and also 89 would win you 10 of 13 SAF's league titles, show how high the standard is. I get it you want to win but even FA Cup wont save his job according to some of you who always doubt him. I agree there must be pressure to deliver but its also too soon to consider other names. Im hearing name like Inzaghi? This is his first league title and Serie A is lower level league, there's no guarantee he'll win you a league title/CL, im hearing Flick? Even Alonso, a great young manager, but Arteta is also a young manager, Alonso has done great things but no guarantee he'll win over Pep. I guarantee you if Arsenal sack Arteta tomorrow, 3 top clubs minimum will go for him. Lets appreciate the job he's done and evaluate next season.

De Gea can't be a backup to us because he's not ball playing GK like what Arteta wants.
Same defence as the season before but different keeper. Raya plays as a sweeper which means he cuts out the balls over the top or through the lines behind the defence, he also comes out for crosses, this prevents shots at goal by cutting them out beforehand. Yes he’s made mistakes but look at the numbers when he plays, even Ramsdale this season has concedes more shots every game. Raya is underrated, if you know ball and which all the times he gather those “nothing” balls you realise he’s snuffing out opportunities before they come

I am not actually convinced Ramsdale wouldn't have been a better choice than Raya going forward. Ramsdale's been making serial world class saves, whereas the only one Raya's made last season was arguably against Brighton or someone toward the end at the near post.
You two do not have a great chemistry to be honest.

but it’s actually edu and the scouts that are to be blamed. at a club the size of arsenal, the manager simply identifies a profile of player and it’s down to the sporting director and scouting department to find a player that fits those attributes. the viera transfer maybe fit the Ø profile, but 35M is a lot for a bench player and it’s clear he doesn’t have the confidence to break into the first team.
Keep both ESR & Viera. Sell the donkeys
35m is not a lot for a bench player if you have aspirations to win the league and champions league lol, who on City’s bench is worth less than 35m?

What made me laugh about Fabio Viera is, he was on the bench for most of the games the season we brought him from Porto.
Everybody hyped him up and he couldn't even start for Porto in the UCL.
