@@Iza_Liz Ah, dont worry, you dont sound dumb, since, fun fact, I dont even know myself what coding SLADE uses. Anyway, but I am pretty sure SLADE is native, so if you can follow this tutorial, im pretty sure it works anyway.
PS. I never explained why you need SLADE 3.1.13, but the reason being because some of Modern Sonic's sprites and super form sprites have the same name, and the newest version of SLADE does not allow you to save a file if multiple entrys have the same name. SLADE 3.1.13 does allow you to that.
None of my sprites for any of my characters show up anymore, they just show the "!" sign the error "…ERROR:€ HWR_ProjectSprite: invalid sprite frame 0/0 for PLAY" shows up in my log file is there something i did that caused this? i did everything corrctly
That is odd... You could simplt try to redownload the Modern Sonic mod (If that is the mod that you were talking about) and see if it works. It might also be you messing with something early and simply didnt remember. But dont give up lad! You still got this!
dunno, could be many reasons. Ya sure you did exactly like the tutorial? hell, it might have been the final line, which goes "(not ((player.cmd.buttons & BT_ATTACK) or (player.cmd.buttons BT_FIRENORMAL)))" In general, if you could specify and configure it yourself, you could maybe find the solution. Oh! And be sure you have all the right mods!
I am not exactly sure if this can be done on mobile, but if you could download SLADE and edit stuff in there, it probably can! Just try it for yourself.
@@arcadet123yt You do realize that not everyone has the time and/or patience to do all this stuff right? The only times I went out of my way to do coding stuff was for the base Sonic CD and Sonic Mania Plus decompilations, and those took me forever to do with lots of frustrations even with detailed guides. It was "worth" it though because I wanted fully native PC ports that could work with mods on my Steam Deck. (More specifically it was primarily to get Sonic CD Miracle Edition and Sonic Mania Addendum) I don't think I'm willing to go this far out of my way in most cases just to edit an existing mod that is easy to plop in with an already easy to download and update game. Sonic Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute, Sonic 3 A.I.R., Triple Trouble 16-Bit, and Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers are all similarly just as easy to get as SRB2, but you don't see me feeling bad about it… I'm not saying that this is as hard to do as piecing together the original decompilations, but what I *am* saying is that, just like with those, not providing more direct downloads for them is needlessly complicated when all you need to do is upload the completed project somewhere, especially for an edit of an existing mod. *TL;DR: Just upload it somewhere and share a download link for the people who are unable to do this type of stuff man…*
@@ZacharyDietze my Brother in christ it takes like 5 minutes to do this, how do you not have 5 minutes...??? You're kinda implying people have like 1 minute attention spans and cry whenever they see something over 1 minute... And while yes, I could just have the edited version of the Modern Sonic file... I'd rather not. Why? Because I personally feel like this video is a chance to understand SRB2's code, and how to edit it. Simply putting thee edited file out there for people to download it and place it onto their SRB2 mod folder is nice, wouldn't it be cooler to understand how that was made, and how to do it yourself? C'mon man, it ain't that deep either... I don't wanna come off as rude by the way, if I am, please tell me, and I'll go punch myself for it.
Peak intro
xd at least I put in music. Next time I do a video like this, I do want to edit it. Sorry again for no editing :]
@@arcadet123yt so is slade native? Also i might sound stupid, but what type of code does slade use? Thanks! 5:48

Missed opportunity to add in the Unregistered HyperCam 2 watermark and the Trance 009 Sound System music for a more authentic 2007 UA-cam experience

Is there an Android version of the tutorial?

Yeah, I couldve... But cmon... I think it is more fun if you did it yourself than me sending the finished mod. Cmon man! Dont be lazy!
