@@BLSoldier00 Most of them probably just lucky guessed, that was the most unfair and obscure million dollar question on the history of the US version of the show IMO. Clearly thrown at the poor kid because they knew he knew everything and didn't have to use a lifeline until the last question.
In case yall were wondering the story behind the shoe banging incident, basically Lorenzo Sumulong agreed with Khrushchev that the Western Powers should grant their colonies independence, but then turned it around on the USSR saying that they should ALSO grant their satellite states independence. Khrushchev demanded to be at the podium and started a long rant saying that Sumulong is a stooge and a lackey of the imperialists. Assembly President Frederick Boland allowed Sumulong back to the podium which made Khrushchev even madder and wanted Boland to recognize him on a point of order. Boland didn't recognize him and Khrushchev started banging his shoe
From the American "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" show, this is Lyn Payne's game and it's during two episodes in late 2007 from syndicated season six. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Turkey is the obvious choice in that last question. That's why for a million dollars that couldn't possibly be the answer. They would never make it that easy.
Brilliant candidate. Excellent memory.

Wisdom of the crowd
And 11% voted for “Tool for cutting roofing slates.”

Also, 14% voted for "Tyler."
It should not be surprising that the million dollar questions are often rather obscure trivia questions that most people won't know lol.

Given the """anti-imperialists""" on twitter excusing or celebrating what's been done to Ukrainians for nearly 2 years now, makes sense to me.

A very intelligent and wise woman.
20:57: Oh my god. That is a real stumper. I am really ashamed I got this wrong.
Up next for me @ 13:14 is “Jeopardy!” followed by “Wheel of Fortune.”
For cats it had to be Egyptian!
A little of her goes a long way!
0:16 "Let's have fun" is probably the most Lyn Payne answer 😁
What a charming lady

Audience was nearly 50:50 and they were wrong 😂
That's Leszek Pawlowicz as her PAF, he's a bit of a trivia/game show star.
To this day, she is the last non-celebrity contestant on the US version of Millionaire to win $500,000 and walk away with it.
Yes, but Sam Murray won $1m after her in the tournament.

True fans shouldn't count _Million Dollar Tournament of Ten._ *At all.*
The audience knows pop culture cold but I wouldn't trust the audience about any other questions (history, science, etc.).
