Cards are so good you can put together at least 3 “end game” lineups and not have any cards overlapping
Seriously, one of my only complaints right now is I can only make 4 different lineups. And that’s more of a compliment of the game than a complaint. Insane how many fun cards there are
That’s my issue I dont play a lot anymore and don’t know who to use or keep 😂

That’s exactly what I did today I made. quirks team a dream team a speed team and a contact/power team love literally all 4 teams lol

Here’s my lineup:
C: Kyle Schwarber. For literally the exact reasons you said. The only situations where I might take him out is for pinch running or if I’m completely getting dominated by a lefty, in which case I’d use Salvador Perez to pinch hit. But that rarely ever happens, and Schwarber is surprisingly good at throwing out base stealers.
1B: Babe Ruth. Easily the best hitter in the game. As soon as I got him, he’s been absolutely unstoppable. I normally struggle in the lefty-lefty matchup, but Babe is easily an exception with that maxed out contact and power across the board. It’s honestly really fun to parallel him even though he doesn’t really gain any benefit from parallels because he’s already maxed out.
2B: Mookie Betts. There was absolutely no way I’d take out Betts even after Soto and Griffey dropped. Mookie is an automatic home run in almost every game. Koogs himself said you can bat him leadoff or bat him 8th, and I used to bat him leadoff. Now he’s 8th because with how deadly the rest of my lineup is, having an absolute demon in Mookie at the bottom of the order is fearsome.
3B: Chipper Jones. His swing is just too good for me to take him out. Yes, we all know he kills lefties but he kills righties just as much for me. And his defense has been a complete non-issue for me. He’s always been rock solid at 3rd all year.
SS: Fernando Tatis Jr. No explanation needed. He’s literally a better Honus.
LF: Juan Soto. Maybe I should switch him with Griffey in right for the sake of diamond fielding, but I prefer Griffey’s better arm strength in right. Not much needs to be said about Soto’s hitting ability. I also suck with Willie Mays, so I replaced him with Soto immediately.
CF: Mickey Mantle. My favorite card in the game. His swing is amazing, he literally hits home runs to any part of the field from both sides of the plate. At parallel 5, he’s a menace.
RF: Ken Griffey Jr. That swing is absolute money. Like Babe and Soto, I don’t struggle lefty-lefty with him either.
Bench Bat: Frank Thomas. I have him at parallel 5, so he’s literally maxed out. The only reason why I have Babe over him is for lineup balance. Because of the parallel 5 hitting, I use him to pinch hit before anyone else regardless of pitcher.
Pinch runner: Honus Wagner. I love using Honus too, but I prefer him on the bench because Tatis does what he does but better, and I can still use Honus in a double switch after running because of his secondary positions.
Lefty bats: Kyle Tucker and Lou Gehrig
Righty bat: Salvador Perez
Rotation: Shohei Ohtani, Jacob deGrom, Clayton Kershaw, Justin Verlander, Corey Kluber
Bullpen: Rollie Fingers (long relief), Aaron Loup (middle relief), Emmanuel Clase (middle relief), Blake Treinen (middle relief), Kenley Jansen (middle relief), Goose Gossage (setup), Aroldis Chapman (setup), Mariano Rivera (closer)
And to think I still suck at this game.
This game is hard as hell but so much more fun than Madden, I’m playing ranked seasons on all star and a 3 run game is good for me ugh

you should definitely put tatis at 2nd and Seager at 3rd. Speed is important at 2nd and seager is gonna miss hard hit ground balls up the middle or in the gap that Tatis can get to. I know Seagers atm strength is only 70, but you really aren’t going to notice it much. The speed is a much bigger factor in this decision versus the arm strength. If you watch Cbrev most recent ranking video, he agreed with me and said the same thing.
I like Correa at short and Tatis at 3rd and then Seager at 2nd or a Finest switch hitter. But you can't lose with any of these guys

Tatis would be a better 2B, diamond fielding and speed in the middle infield. I don't think arm strength matters at 3B in this game(obviously it does in real life). So seager would be fine there

I play Mookie at 2nd and then Soto in RF. Then I play Chipper at 3rd and Tatis at SS. I just think I’d prefer Soto to Seager and Chipper to Honus.
Mookie, Soto, Chipper and Tatis is the exact same thing for me in my lineup. Mookie is so good it’s unreal
Honestly second base is one of the thinnest positions in this game so I put Mookie at second very often until recently I’ve been using Polanco finest

I feel like its rare but accuracy still plays a part unless what happened to me was a glitch, ground ball to tatis threw it to first in the green but got an error cause babe couldn't catch it
My team is:
C: Haven’t decided yet. Either Perez or Schwarber.
1B: Vladdy. Great hitting with decent fielding, especially at 1st base.
2B: Semien. Partly because I’m a Jays fan, but is a really good card that I might use anyway.
3B: Donaldson cuz he’s my fav player. I would use Devers if it’s a must win game for the extra lefty.
SS: Bo. Same as Semien; great card and would probably use him anyway, but could be a little bit of Blue Jays bias.
LF: Eddie Rosario. Great hitting with pretty good fielding. Meh speed so might replace him with someone like Tatis or Mookie though.
CF: Mickey Mantle.
RF: Soto. Great hitting with good fielding this year. I haven’t used Kyle Tucker much but on paper, I feel like he looks better though.
SP: DeGrom and Corbin Burnes 2 best for me
Just note that I don’t have guys like Griffey, Mays, Ruth, etc.
Have u tried using the posey finest card? I’m not that good but I’m hitting 450 with him with a 1.400 ops

my only issue is salvy, we both love using him, and honestly, he’s so much better this year, he has no weak side, defence is great, if you want, i would find a way to put schwarber on the bench, i also loved schwarber, i’m a nats fan, that month was amazing, but salvy is better

C Perez, Great stats and love his swing and stance, I don’t have Foxx so this is easy but if I had Foxx he is my Catcher
1B Babe Ruth easy maxed states great swing and frank has to big of a strike zone in my opinion
2B Corey same reason just good lefty and great stats
3B CT3 don’t have chipper and I like his swing any way but this was a hard one.
SS Fernando Not much to say some of the best stats in the game and I love his swing.
LF Cap (Barry Bonds) I love using my cap he’s got 119 120 v R and 119 120 v L and 80 speed the only problem is defense
CF Mickey Mantle Favorite card and switch hitter with amazing stats can’t not use him
RF Soto This could change I’m not doing great with him but so far It’s fine but might put Willy back in

I’m new to The Show so can someone explain to me why having 5 righties and 3 lefties in your bullpen is better than 4 and 4?
you can go either way. I personally use 5 to 3 because when I used 4 and 4 i would find games where I would only have 1 or 2 righties with stamina after a game which might not work out against a really good player. Also there are more righty hitters than lefty hitters in most peoples lineups. hope this helps!
