My scan tools have saved me tons of money. They have helped me identify slow responding sensors through live data before they actually trip any codes. After replacing some things, I brought my 15-year-old GMC Sierra fuel trims within 1%!!! I have diagnosed and fixed coworkers' vehicles, saving them tons of money. I geek out on this stuff. 😂😂
Thank you for such a thorough demonstration I would've liked to see how it does on transmission codes and if it could engage lockup etc. But this was more than enough for me to get a better idea of what these brands are offering to send me for review.
As to your point in the outro. I had bought the OTC Genisys as my shop scanner and after the first update I already had $7,000 in it the scanners like the one you're talking about well now do everything that that Genesis would do I'm not sure if it'll do all the transmission stuff that my Genesis would do but now those OTC Genesis some of them are on eBay for like 500 bucks because these newer modern scanners will do so much more for so much less money
My boys have a 2001 Durango and a 2004 grand Cherokee, a while back I was looking for a bidirectional scanner for the older mopars, if I remember right the research said I needed a certain program that they use on mopars to go in depth, just wondering what your thoughts are, thanks Brian 😁👍
Has the same programming software as my autel. But my renewal is $ 500.00 US. Wondering, if you have a bad coil pack, maybe switch it over to another cylinder, see if it follows over? Great video fab!! 🏆👍🏻🇨🇦
@ I’ve already done the swap with the coil and a new plug. I think it’s getting a small amount of coolant in the cylinder over night causing it to miss right on start up. After start up it is fine and doesn’t miss.
@@jeffmoon4944 That had nothing to do with being a mechanic and having to do a job over and not charging the customer. Been there done that many times myself. I was just talking about in general none of us work for free.

@@saneauto Exactly! I don’t see a reason to spend the money on the truck scanners anymore unless you need to do programming.
