How play suspended (sus) chords on the guitar

- Suspended chords have this wonderful spacey, floaty sound. Joni Mitchell calls them "chords of inquiry."
So how do you play them on the guitar? Sure, you could look them up. But wouldn't you love to create them yourself, on the fly? You can! No degree in music theory necessary.

Hi Rob, great lesson . Please clarif N and South plz on my guitar north would be at the top wth the pegs . Is your North there?
Also plz clarify ‘higher which has 2 interpretations Highe on the neck ….(sounds lower) or lower. Lower on the neck which is higher in pitch. Thanks Chris
Sorry about the confusing metaphor. North means higher, and in music, higher means higher in pitch (not altitude). So higher on the fretboard means closer to the body of your guitar, because notes sound higher up there.
