Beautiful song and gorgeous video, but you really should react to the Wembley 1986 version. So powerful! It will blow you both away. The entire stadium goes so quiet, and it's just Freddie and Brian at first...then when the band kicks in...wow! Loving your reactions.
I love the beauty of this video. The candles, the orchestra and Freddie looks so good in his tuxedo, it should be forbidden 😁 A nice reaction again, and as usually, a billion out of ten I would say.
OH Yeah...that song can be interpreted in many ways ...Such a hauntingly Beautiful tune , masterfully performed with all the style and charisma you could ask for from Queen. If this one jerks a small tear from you , then you need to watch the official video of the song the Boys wrote as a tribute to Freddie after his passing called "Only the Good Die Young" . That will make a grown Sasquatch cry.another good choice fellas truly enjoyed it !
Yeah!!! More Queen! Young man, this is such a beautiful piece. I enjoy your reactions! Keep up the good work. You are on a wonderful path of music! Your Father is giving you such a gift!
Good for you for picking a favourite Queen song. I have been listening to Queen since the 1970's and I can't choose a favourite yet! Usually the last one I heard is my favourite LOL!
Ah, sweet teenage memories... Remember going to see "Highlander" with my sweetheart of the time... HOw about "Flash Gordon"? What a great band Queen are, aren't they? Where every song you hear last is you favourite! :)
This song was written as part of the soundtrack for the movie Highlander where the main character is immortal and doesn't want to fall in love again because he will always outlive his wives. This song does reflect on Freddie now that he has passed, I agree. Thank you for your reaction.
This is the best reaction to this song that I have ever seen (and I have watched MANY.) I, too, can never listen to this song without getting emotional. But that is the beauty of music and the magic of Queen and Freddie. Thank you so much doing this, and please continue to do Queen reactions!!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼🙂 It's such an incredible song that will always have a special place in my life and now my boy loves it so much too! It's just beautiful. We most certainly will continuously to do more Queen reactions! 🙂
Powerful song and mesmerising performance by Queen. They really could handle so many genres. Thank you for your reaction. Glad you loved it as much as I do.
This song always gives me goosebumps all over my body and tears are rolling. Please show your son the film to that great music. I think kids nowadays will love Highlander as much as we loved it back in time, don´t you?
Beautiful song, please check out White Queen at Odeon Hammersmith, another really beautiful song & I think you both will be blown away with their instrumentation & vocals.
My mum loved the Highlander movie for two reasons 1) Big crush on Sean Connery 2) Queen’s soundtrack 👑 The movie is worth a watch!! 🍿 Next do PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE, GIMME THE PRIZE, & ONE YEAR OF LOVE. Brian May once commented that he wished he had written Princes Of The Universe!! The music video is mixed with movie clips! Pretty cool 😎
The Highlander movie (with this & other Queen songs) might be interesting to you. I couldn't imagine how it was done - but it really is part of the appeal. I read Queen saw it as "heavy metal with rock infused orchestrations" or something like that. My favorite song (in addition to this one) is heard over the radio in the movie, called ONE YEAR OF LOVE. The full song is glorious but it's a love song... so If that's too mushy for you, PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE would likely be more exciting and reveal a bit of the movie's story.
Oh princes of the universe is one of my favourite Queen songs. I have watched Highlander a million times but I know that my boy would absolutely love the film and the soundtrack! ☺️😁
You brought your son there into a very adult theme. It’s good to see him love the song so much as we do. The reason it’s so adult is what was going on with Freddy and the band and the reason why Brian wrote the song and this is the first time we see Brian on any keyboard. I’ve seen the movie The Highlander many times. Maybe if your son was able to handle the words who wants to live forever he can handle the adult action movie. I hear your accents but don’t know know which country you may be from that you might be related to the region the Highlander grew from. I think it was Scotland as where they highlanders were from. Sean Connery was one of them. But the highlanders we’re immortals living forever while their mates grew old and died. This isn’t the only movie soundtrack that queen did. I believe that Freddy could put so much emotion in this song as he might have known his departure from this world wasn’t long and coming.
We are from Wales UK, same as Scotland. The Highlanders are Scottish, as was Sean Connery. They are great films and with great soundtrack from Queen. We will also look at Queen's music from Flash Gordon, which my boy has not seen or heard yet. Hopefully he will enjoy the movies 😊
Also, you may find some of this music not your “ style”. I used to make comments to my Mother as she played her records loud and daily yet I love all the music she introduced me to. Some of my best memories of childhood.
They are the best childhood memories, listening to different music from the past. We will possibly look at some very new music soon, too.... If dad allows 😂
This is also my favorite Queen song! I probably have 10 that are #2 and at least 50 in my Top 10. If you ever want an introduction to the current iteration of Queen, Adam Lambert does a powerfully emotional version of this song the day after The Pulse Nightclub shooting in 2016. Brian said he almost forgot what he was playing because he'd never heard the song done with that much passion. You know I love Freddie, and he is NOT replaceable, and never will be. Adam does not ever try, but he's an outstanding front man nonetheless. I also love Brian and Roger and they are just thrilled to be able to continue to perform in their 70s at such a high level. ua-cam.com/video/eHPv80jNoQU/v-deo.html
It's an incredible song and I know how amazing Adam Lambert is. We'd love to see Queen and Adam Lambert live. Thank you for the link. We will check.that out for sure 🙂🙏🏼
@@XplozoneReacts I'll be there in June. I missed Freddie, but I"m not missing Brian and Roger, too! (not to sound morbid... I hope they're rocking until they're 110!)
Brian May wrote this song for the film "Highlander". It's beautiful, but heartbreaking.
We totally agree. A very powerful song 🙏🏼
The live version at Budapest and Wembley in 1986 are also amazing. Thanks for reacting to this beautiful song. I too am always touched by this one.
We will watch that Version of this incredible song 😊🙏🏼
Budapest is favorite. Even a bit more emotional than Wembley.
@@Ein_Schachdude we will try as many as we can 😊

This is better bc Brian never sings when they do this song live.. And i think he's grossly underrated as a singer
@@cmoeller3 he really is a Fantastic singer. I agree!! 😊

One of the most beautiful Queen songs ever. Nothing fancy about it, just hauntingly beautiful 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥

I first heard this awesome song by Sarah brightman and for years thought it was an original tune by her. Queen never cease to amaze.
