    I do agree with other comments on this tutorial; simple, easy to follow, great info! A bit of a challenge holding the loops, but as I went along it became easier to deal with. I prefer this method to making a wreath as it all looks even in comparison to making big loops all around the wreath; other methods I end up with different size loops! Your wreath is nice & full & that's what I wanted. I didn't have to deal with all those pipe cleaners sticking up either while making the wreath. My wreath is a Christmas one & I am pleased in the turnout of it. Thank you for doing the informative tutorial. You made my day!

    I love this tutorial it is a time saver. However I ended up fighting with the ribbon because it kept twisting on me and I would end up with it bunching up. I tried 4 times and finally gave up. Your wreath came out beautiful I will keep trying. Thanks for the shout out for breast cancer.

      J MC yes the ribbon is a bit uncooperative I agree!! I found if I didn’t have too much of the ribbon off the roll it was a little easier to work with. Good luck and I know you will get it!! Thank you for watching

  • @pattijarrett2789

    ok- there are all these directions and how many rolls of mesh you will need, pipe cleaners, etc.. all that really depends on one thing which I have read everything and don't see. What size is the wire wreath prior to beginning. ??? The ones at the Dollar General (I don't have a dollar Tree) So, I and others I am sure- am have to go somewhere else to buy materials. We can't do that if we don't know what size wreath ring to buy. If you can tell me that.. that would really be great. I am going to make them for my grandchildren (the girls) for their bedroom doors. (I out wreaths everywhere) :) Thanks for you help!

    Just to clarify, did you do 6 groups per section of the wreath form? And it looks like you just poked your ribbon through the wreath slots without opening or spreading out the deco mesh, is that right? I haven't tried it yet - it looks really simple to do and I hope it is. Can't wait to try it!

    • @CraftswithChris
      @CraftswithChris  6 років тому

      Hello,
      I used 6 of the Deco Mesh From the Dollar store and I used one roll per section of the wreath. If you want it to be very very full you could use more. Yes, I just poked the ribbon through and didnt do anything to the mesh until I was all finished. I then fluffed the wreath a little. It's super simple to make!! Good luck and have fun!

    • @bamagirlinflorida
      @bamagirlinflorida 6 років тому

      So you put as many poofs in each section as will fit by using the whole roll of Dollar Tree mesh? Or is there a certain number of poofs per section?

    • @CraftswithChris
      @CraftswithChris  6 років тому

      I did a whole roll per section but you can put more in to make it very very full. I did not count how many poofs in each section

      Chris, I want to say I LOVE-LOVE this and so many other of your tutorials. Your so easy to follow and are so patient and speak clearly. Thank you!! I do have a question that piggy backs Marieee’s question. How well does the mesh stay in place when the wreath is stored? Do any of the loops wiggle out from in between the wires? I want to use multicolored mesh, about three different colors; and am wondering if I should use a few more pipe cleaners to hold the loops in place. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful creations with us.

    Does any of the mesh come loose? I watched the video again and it looks like you only used 2 pipe cleaners per roll - beginning and end. There are so many ways out there and they use a lot more. Thanks.

    • @CraftswithChris
      @CraftswithChris  7 років тому

      I only used the pipe cleaners when I would begin, and end with the mesh. I made sure I twisted it on good and I had no problems with anything coming loose. I left my wreath up at my door for about a month. It was on a door that was used every day. I had no issues what so ever with any of the mesh being loose. As long as you twist the pipe cleaners a few times I think you will have no problems. Thank you for the comment and good luck with your wreath.

      Hello,
      It may work being that the Ribbon is bigger. I guess the only thing you could do is try it. I would be curious to know whether it works.

      I have googled and searched but I can not find an answer. I have seen wreaths done a bit different than mine and they used a 15 to 24 wire frame with 10-inch mesh. I think it could work but I wonder if you will have trouble trying to control the mesh to fit in the frame. That is a lot more mesh than the one I did. Please let me know how it goes and what you did! Thank you

      I made one like yours here and it turned out great...I really didn't think 10 would make that much difference but ya I couldn't control it at all... I think I just gonna cut it and ruffle it

    Thanks for uploading this very simple tutorial. I need two more Christmas gifts and now I know what to make and how to make it. What dollar store did you get your supplies from?

      I bought mine at the Dollar Tree but that was months ago, not sure what the dollar stores have left. I am glad you found it to be simple. Good luck and what an awesome Christmas gift this will make.

      Oh no well, I hope you get the hang of it.... I really thought it was fairly simple. Is there something that seems to be giving you a hard time?
