I do agree with other comments on this tutorial; simple, easy to follow, great info! A bit of a challenge holding the loops, but as I went along it became easier to deal with. I prefer this method to making a wreath as it all looks even in comparison to making big loops all around the wreath; other methods I end up with different size loops! Your wreath is nice & full & that's what I wanted. I didn't have to deal with all those pipe cleaners sticking up either while making the wreath. My wreath is a Christmas one & I am pleased in the turnout of it. Thank you for doing the informative tutorial. You made my day!
Thank you!! I am so glad you liked my video and I am very happy you were able to make your own beautiful wreath. I just want to help anyone out I can so I love all the feed back. Thank you again!!
You were the only person I found who showed how to place your own pipe cleaners, all the other people said you had to buy a form with them already on. Thank you very much !!!!!
Thanks for the information as I am trying to get ready for a Ladies Day Fellowship at our church and I wanted to know how to do a mesh wreath and I think I will enjoy making these and they make great gifts if the Lord's will I am gong to try this very soon. I tell you UA-cam is wonderful you can find just about everything on your how to do list. Again thanks so much
I think you will enjoy making these. They are very easy to make and so beautiful. I am sure yours will look great. UA-cam is a great place for learning stuff. I find myself always looking something up on youtube. Thank you for your comment
Good morning! I am doing my first metal wreath today. Your tutorial is the best one I have watched. You broke it down easily. Now I am excited about getting it done. Thank you so much! Have a great weekend....
Thank you so much for the feedback!! I watched a bunch of them and I was frustrated because most were not easy to understand so I had to make one so others would not get frustrated too. lol Good luck with your wreath and I would love to see it. You can post pictures on my facebook page if you want and you have a great weekend too facebook.com/craftswithchris/
Crafts with Chris Hi! For my first one, it came out great. I love it and was easy because of your tutorial. Going to make a burlap one this evening. I don't do FB otherwise would send you a pic. Thanks again!
Just trying to get into wreath making, thanks for the simplicity instructions on how it's done. There are some really beautiful and crafty work being done. Hope mine will join the beautification of wreath making
hi.this was the most easiest video wreath tutorial ever. you made a beautiful wreath. I can't wait to get to one of the stores to buy my supplies to make my own thank you for sharing greatly appreciated. 😁❄🌸
No problem. Thank you. Glad you found it simple to follow. Have fun making yours and i hope you find all the supplies you need. I know the $ stores around me are hit and miss and lately they have been miss. This morning i got lucky and found a bunch of red and white mesh so I was a happy camper. lol I cant wait to make a holiday wreath next. Thank you for the comment :)
That is great and I bet it's beautiful!! I am glad you found it easy to make, I really could not believe how easy it was to make. Thank you so much for your comment.
Thank you for simplifying this. I've been wanting to make a wreathe but some of the tutorials over complicate this. I plan to do white and red to match my tree. Thanks again!
I love this tutorial it is a time saver. However I ended up fighting with the ribbon because it kept twisting on me and I would end up with it bunching up. I tried 4 times and finally gave up. Your wreath came out beautiful I will keep trying. Thanks for the shout out for breast cancer.
J MC yes the ribbon is a bit uncooperative I agree!! I found if I didn’t have too much of the ribbon off the roll it was a little easier to work with. Good luck and I know you will get it!! Thank you for watching
Thank you so much. It really did turn out very full and pretty. It was super easy and I have always wanted to make one of these wreaths. I bought some more mesh for an Easter Wreath and I can't wait to make that one. Good luck and have fun with yours. I would love to see a picture once it's complete.
Love this!!! Thanks for sharing. I was thinking, zip ties would be so much easier than pipe cleaners. Especially since u only tie the mesh down a few times. I'll let u know 😊. Thanks again. Great job!
ok- there are all these directions and how many rolls of mesh you will need, pipe cleaners, etc.. all that really depends on one thing which I have read everything and don't see. What size is the wire wreath prior to beginning. ??? The ones at the Dollar General (I don't have a dollar Tree) So, I and others I am sure- am have to go somewhere else to buy materials. We can't do that if we don't know what size wreath ring to buy. If you can tell me that.. that would really be great. I am going to make them for my grandchildren (the girls) for their bedroom doors. (I out wreaths everywhere) :) Thanks for you help!
The size of the dollar store wreaths are 14 1/4 www.dollartree.com/Metal-Wreath-Rings-14-frac14-/p350539/index.pro here is the deco mess used www.dollartree.com/Floral-Garden-Decorative-Mesh-5-yd-Rolls/p355978/index.pro
Just to clarify, did you do 6 groups per section of the wreath form? And it looks like you just poked your ribbon through the wreath slots without opening or spreading out the deco mesh, is that right? I haven't tried it yet - it looks really simple to do and I hope it is. Can't wait to try it!
Hello, I used 6 of the Deco Mesh From the Dollar store and I used one roll per section of the wreath. If you want it to be very very full you could use more. Yes, I just poked the ribbon through and didnt do anything to the mesh until I was all finished. I then fluffed the wreath a little. It's super simple to make!! Good luck and have fun!
Chris, I want to say I LOVE-LOVE this and so many other of your tutorials. Your so easy to follow and are so patient and speak clearly. Thank you!! I do have a question that piggy backs Marieee’s question. How well does the mesh stay in place when the wreath is stored? Do any of the loops wiggle out from in between the wires? I want to use multicolored mesh, about three different colors; and am wondering if I should use a few more pipe cleaners to hold the loops in place. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful creations with us.
glad i found your video, i always wanted to buy those wreath ring but theres none in my city but luckily i have 2 those one you used( from my halloween decoration) yay excited here. '-')
I have watched other videos and you make it look very easy to do. How much mesh do I need it its from another store? My dollar tree is always sold out. I want to make sure I get enough.
It really is so easy... I used 6 of the 6 inch by 5-yard rolls to make this wreath. I know what you mean I have a hard time finding the deco mesh at my local dollar stores too. Have fun making your wreath and thank you for the coment.
Does any of the mesh come loose? I watched the video again and it looks like you only used 2 pipe cleaners per roll - beginning and end. There are so many ways out there and they use a lot more. Thanks.
I only used the pipe cleaners when I would begin, and end with the mesh. I made sure I twisted it on good and I had no problems with anything coming loose. I left my wreath up at my door for about a month. It was on a door that was used every day. I had no issues what so ever with any of the mesh being loose. As long as you twist the pipe cleaners a few times I think you will have no problems. Thank you for the comment and good luck with your wreath.
I guess I never thought of that because I really didn't need to cut the mesh only at the end. That's a great idea though, thank you for the idea!! Thanks for comenting.
All I use is the piece of pipe cleaner when starting the deco mesh. I do not use anything else to anchor it down. The loops stay in place. I hope this answered your question. Thank you for watching
Crafts with Chris Does that mean that you only used the pipe cleaners at the end of each roll? You don't show when you used them. Don't you secure the ribbon as you wrap around the wire?
I have googled and searched but I can not find an answer. I have seen wreaths done a bit different than mine and they used a 15 to 24 wire frame with 10-inch mesh. I think it could work but I wonder if you will have trouble trying to control the mesh to fit in the frame. That is a lot more mesh than the one I did. Please let me know how it goes and what you did! Thank you
I made one like yours here and it turned out great...I really didn't think 10 would make that much difference but ya I couldn't control it at all... I think I just gonna cut it and ruffle it
Thanks for uploading this very simple tutorial. I need two more Christmas gifts and now I know what to make and how to make it. What dollar store did you get your supplies from?
I bought mine at the Dollar Tree but that was months ago, not sure what the dollar stores have left. I am glad you found it to be simple. Good luck and what an awesome Christmas gift this will make.
Its 2021 and I still keep coming back to your awesome tutorial. Thank you. 😀

Trying this tonight. Thank you so much. I have searching for a simple tutorial and this helped me!
Thank you for checking out my video and the feedback. I hope you had success in making your wreath
You were the only person I found who showed how to place your own pipe cleaners, all the other people said you had to buy a form with them already on. Thank you very much !!!!!
Your welcome and thank you for watching. :)
No, no, no. That's not true. Kat's Creation, Hard Working Mom, etc, etc. There's so many who show you. I'm also a wreath maker and I know.

So you put as many poofs in each section as will fit by using the whole roll of Dollar Tree mesh? Or is there a certain number of poofs per section?
I did a whole roll per section but you can put more in to make it very very full. I did not count how many poofs in each section
Thank you!!!!
your welcome :)
It is a nice wreath
Since you’re only weaving the mesh in and out of the wire form, does the mesh ever come out? It’s really pretty and I am going to try this.
Marieee no it stays put. I put this wreath on my door that I open every day and it was on there for over a month. None of the Mesh moved.

lovely wreath, but how do you add ribbon to this style of wreath?
hawaiiandawn thank you. I’m not sure what you mean. You could simply add a ribbon bow to this. I have hot glued a bow to one that I made before.
Beautiful!
thank you so much!!!
Thank you sooooo much.

Will use this method to make a patriotic wreath. Any suggestions? This is my first one!
Just wondering. Since you have the mat to cut the mesh, why not use a rotary cutter which lessens the unraveling of the mesh. Thanks so much.
I guess I never thought of that because I really didn't need to cut the mesh only at the end. That's a great idea though, thank you for the idea!! Thanks for comenting.
Thank you love it.
Thank you!!
Thank you for this
Your welcome!! Thanks for the comment and I hope you have fun making your wreath!!!
How do you keep the mesh in place?
All I use is the piece of pipe cleaner when starting the deco mesh. I do not use anything else to anchor it down. The loops stay in place. I hope this answered your question. Thank you for watching
Pretty
Thank you so much. They are so simple to make too. :)
How many pipe cleaner pieces did you use? Were they just at the beginning and end of each roll?
I used about a dozen pieces of the 1/3 of the pipe cleaner, so about 4 whole pipe cleaners cut in 3rds
Crafts with Chris
Does that mean that you only used the pipe cleaners at the end of each roll? You don't show when you used them.
Don't you secure the ribbon as you wrap around the wire?
Hi how much mesh do you use on each section?
Hello,
I used a full 5 yards Mesh pack per section.
very nice
Thank you. Its pretty easy to make and they sure do look great when finished. Thank you for the comment!
Thank you.
You're Welcome! Thank you for watching.
I love it!!
Don't you use a lot of mesh by doing that and how are you keeping it together
Gloria Cordova there is a total of 30 yards of Deco Mesh used. It stays together nicely when doing it this way.
What size was your wreath
The wreath frame was 14 1/4. These were sold at the dollar tree. :)
bit.ly/2lidK8P here is the link to the frames at the dollar tree
Thank you
I got this form but my mesh is 10 in....I can't do this like that...do you think if I had a bigger frame it would work
Hello,
It may work being that the Ribbon is bigger. I guess the only thing you could do is try it. I would be curious to know whether it works.
I will try it and if it dont work I will have to try a different method
I have googled and searched but I can not find an answer. I have seen wreaths done a bit different than mine and they used a 15 to 24 wire frame with 10-inch mesh. I think it could work but I wonder if you will have trouble trying to control the mesh to fit in the frame. That is a lot more mesh than the one I did.
