@@dominicpardo4783 Bart Ehrman believes the historical Jesus existed. Start there. Read the gospel accounts of His life and evaluate His teachings for yourself. Start with the gospel of John. You do not need to get lost in semantics and intellectual gymnastics of history and archaeology and philosophy to find the truth. The truth is actually quite simple, yet it is hidden to the world because of pride. There is nothing that requires more faith in the universe than to believe the idea that there is no Creator and all of this is the product of some random chance multiplied almost to infinity over an equally large amount of time. God exists, and there is plenty of evidence for His existence and works throughout creation so that none are without excuse just as the bible testifies.
This is a huge problem, because if God exists and is holy, perfect and just there will come a day when all of our misdeeds will be accounted for. The bible says that we will all be resurrected on the day of judgment, some to rejoicing others to weeping. Nobody will get out of this event, the only question is did you have faith in the perfect work of Christ on the cross as the payment for your sins. God's offer through Jesus Christ is a personal, intimate relationship with the Creator and an eternal life after the end of this age. There is nothing better, and there is nothing outside of it either. Yet because of pride many find these things foolishness, again just as the bible says.
We can either take the bible's testimony as the word of God or we can ridicule it as just some made up collection of stories. The consequences for these different perspectives are very grave, so much so that any honest person would want to do their due diligence on the matter before committing to an opinion - let alone such an uneducated one as what you present. Recent research has shown that the bible has over 70,000 cross-references to itself despite being composed by 80+ authors over 1500 years. Anyone who has read the bible knows it is absolutely consistent through and through, and the layers are truly mindblowing to the point where the conclusion that there is actually only one author, God, is the only thing possible. There is also so much archaeological support for the events reported in the bible that it is used as a resource in ANE studies, something that no other text favors because the traditions of these people were to elaborate and mythologize everything. Compare this to the Hebrews that had an impeccable tradition of scribing and passing down information and there is no comparison.
The bible is a unique book, and if you are to form an opinion on it - an opinion that literally leads to life or death - it is to your advantage to do your due diligence thoroughly if you are honest about wanting to know the truth.

@danceoflifepodcast When did l say the historical Jesus didn't exist?
Nice copy and paste. Good on you for the logical fallacy of assumption. I've read the Bible cover to cover. Several times. Start with John? The latest chronologically? Therefore, the most embellished?
There isn't a shred of contemporaneous corroboration. It's nonsense.

God wants us to be happy. By loving everyone and caring for those in need we are rewarded with the joy of loving and caring for others.
The Laws of the Old Testament guarded the people from disease gave them a safe food and water supply and preserved the land. They also taught the chosen how to treat others to prevent conflicts from within and without. Good Hygiene and pre and post-natal care.
Jesus came so we might find true joy and share it with the world. He grants this when we follow his example. Love without limit forgive and be set free.

The Lord's prayer is how Jesus taught us to pray. The Beatitudes are how Jesus taught us how to live. Christianity is really quite simple. Many are not only missing the boat, but they're standing on the wrong pier. There is much blasphemy and heresy in Christianity today. Examples? "Prosperity Gospel", and "Once saved, always saved" doctrines are examples that immediately come to mind. There are dozens of others.

He lived celebration of holy days of the Lord! To many christians today have changed Jesus to become a gentile or sinner! He worshiped God and did not make himslef equal or greater the God, but now gentiles claim him as God himself?....

I believe Jesus is the true Messiah foretold by the Hebrew prophets of antiquity.
I'm not Hebrew and I don't subscribe to traditional Judaism but my understanding of several things is closer to that of observant Hebrews than to that of the majority of professed Christians. One of the reasons seems to be that many of ostensibly Christian traditions and "traditional" interpretations of the Bible were developed at a time when professed Christians in Rome were trying to "fit in" with their neighbors who HATED Hebrews. One of the ways they tried to do that was to ignore the Hebrew Bible or maybe even discourage reading the Hebrew Bible. Jesus and his apostles often quoted from the Hebrew Bible or alluded to passages in the Hebrew Bible. Anyone who isn't acquainted with the Hebrew Bible will inevitably understand the Gospels and the Epistles very differently than someone who is not acquainted with the Hebrew Bible but differently from someone whose reading of the Hebrew Bible has been colored by some of the ostensibly Christian doctrines that were developed in Rome during the first several centuries after Jesus returned to heaven.

It's getting to the point where, if I hear or read a Scripture, I picture Jonathan Roumie as the speaker. But, episode 3/8, I couldn't stop sobbing. The love that Jesus displayed toward Peter and the explanation of why He gives us trials to strengthen our faith...it works.

I know what you mean. (About the picturing the actors not the beatitudes episode) Thats why I had to stop watching it. I had trouble not imposing the things the show made up onto scripture. For the record I'm not saying that the show lied about anything but in order to make a show they have to fill in the gaps of what we know happened with what reasonably could have happened. That sounds like a good episode though.

I agree! I also stopped watching The Chosen despite enjoying it and being emotionally impacted by it. I feel it is very dangerous to allow a worldly image (handsome which is the opposite of Isaiah’s description of Jesus) to capture your heart and mind. I want to stay as far away from open doors to darkness as possible. Picturing Jonathan Roumi feels very close to idolatry or at the very least a sin against God. Better safely walking the narrow path than risking finding myself to have drifted onto the wide road only to wake up as I am falling into eternal darkness. But that’s just me. May God bless each of us with all the characteristics discussed in the beatitudes. ❤

I have always understood "blessed" to be a word that sums up the concept in Scripture of being "deeply, spiritually satisfied." Plug that in to the front end of the Beatiudes, and we can begin to see that they are the progression of and to salvation...in other words, God's plan of salvation in Christ. "poor in spirit = recognizing one's sinful state; "Mourn" = recognizing our need to repent of our sins; "meek" -= those who humble themselves before the Lord; "hunger...for righteousness = longing for Christ (Messiah); "merciful" = those who recognize God's mercy and their need for it; "pure in heart" = knowing our hearts are deceitful and in need of salvation; "peacefmakers = those who know the peace Jesus brings; "persecuted" = knowing that following Christ will bring ridicule and danger; "revile and persecute" = evidence of salvation through Christ, The Truth. That is why our reward in waiting for us in heaven.

The 7 BEATITUDES are not a REWARD (Prize) for the People to claim for being such in the Afterlife... but by proclaiming/putting them in their Elevated/Uplifted STATUS of being Highly Favored or Fortunate at that present moment in time, and without waiting to be uplifted in the afterlife as a reward (prize)... Only the 8th & 9th Beatitudes are REWARDS in the Afterlife... SALVATION is also a Reward (Prize) we hope for in the Afterlife...
    1. "Blessed are the Poor in Spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."... it is like saying "Fortunate are the poor... or Highly favored are the poor... etc, etc... (but it does not mean you will deliberately stay in Poor in Spirit for the rest of your life until you die... that is not the way it is... God wants us to reach a MATURE in Spirit as we journey/navigate our life in Christ)...
    2. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall/will be comforted."... the same way as saying, "Fortunate are those who mourn.... or Highly favored are those who mourn,... etc., etc... (if you mourn today, you will be comforted by the Holy Spirit while still alive not in the afterlife.)
    3. "Blessed are the meek, for they shall/will inherit the Earth."... (if you are humble, gentle, peaceful, etc... you will have lots of friends and work opportunities while still alive, not in the afterlife).
    4. "Blessed are those who Hunger and Thirst of Righteousness, for they shall/will be filled." ...(Today, if you seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, whatever you ask, seek, and knock shall/will be open/given unto you while still alive, not in the afterlife)
    5. "Blessed are the Merciful, for they shall/will be shown Mercy."... (Today, if you are Merciful to others, most people (not all) will be merciful to you also while still alive, nor in the Afterlife).
    6. "Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they shall/will See God."... (Today, if you have a Pure Heart (not a Cheating/Lying Heart), you may see an apparition of God while still alive.)
    7. "Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall/will be called Children of God."... (today, if you are a Peacemaker, most likely your life will be in peace while still alive)
The 8th and 9th BEATITUDE are Rewards from Heaven in the Afterlife: (Parallel Beatitude)
    8. "Blessed are those who are Persecuted because of Righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." (Christians will experience persecution from time to time most especially from the persecution from the AntiChrist during the Tribulation Period before the Rapture occurs while still alive to those who survive the persecution.)
    9. "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all Evil against you because of ME (Christ), rejoice and be glad, because great is your REWARD in Heaven, for the same way they persecuted the Prophets who were before you." ( these are the only Beatitudes that you can claim Rewards in the Afterlife)...

    Love your Channel.
Just wanted to drop a quick note. In Hebrew there is the word Baruch for Bless which literally means 'to Bend the knee'
But in Psalm 1 where it says Blessed in the Man, the Word is Ashrei (ah-sh Ray). Which means Happy and Content, satisfied. This would be a better term to use for the Sermon on the Mount instead of Blessed.
Happy and Content is the person who hungers and thirsts for Righteoussness for they shall be Filled.
My Hebrew-English Bible uses Ashrei for the Beatitudes.
Also in Jewish Prayer The Ashrei is prayer that is most of Ps145 with a few verses added as an introduction.
When I heard this a few years ago I thought it was really interesting. The Jewish prayer for Food Blesses God not the food and uses Baruch, for we are giving honor and bowing our hearts in thankfulness to God who created it all.
Again another Hebraic difference in prayer Blessed vs Happy

I’m not sure how I already got this, but when I first heard the beatitudes the pronunciation was bless-Ed sounds like bless+Ed, and I always assumed that meant that person already embodied that blessing and that is wasn’t talking about a future thing, yet I understood that if we come to be as the people described we too would be in fact blessed, and eventually bless-Ed as in the present or already blessed.

Yeshua was first sent to the Jews , because they are Gods chosen people. Read the Old Testament, where the coming of Yeshua as the redeemer appears in many parts. But His Gospel is for ALL people in the world, as you can read in the New Testament, where it's told, how the Good news were spread out of Israels into the world.
Yeshua was a Jew, lived and taught as a Jew to Jewish people.

Jesus, Je is Greek for earth, or dirt, and is where we get the word geo, sus is Latin meaning pig, prior it was spelled sous, seus, and venerates seus/zeus. No one name jesus ever lived beyond 500 years ago, No J in Hebrew, nor in English until the 1580's. And you never translate names you always transliterate them, in English his name would be Yahushua/Yahusha (Yud Hey Uwa Shin Ayin). It matters to the Father as HE put His name in him, his name, character, and authority. He came in His Fathers name, the name above all names. It is a scriptural promise to cast those who falsify, and destroy HIS name, into outer darkness. Look into this, it matters to the Creator, and should matter to us.

Jesus IS talking about the future.
The key words are "will" and "shall". These are clearly FUTURE tense. If you want to talk about the FUTURE, youll use these two words.
The words will and shall are auxiliary verbs (helping verbs) that are used to form the simple futuretense.
Technically, the traditional rule of future tense says that shall is used in the first person (I, we) and will is used in all other persons (you, he/she, they). In practice, most English speakers do not follow this rule and the two words are often considered to be interchangeable when forming the future tense.
Technically speaking, will is often used to express determination, inclination, or capability as in We will pay the money we promised or Caterpillars will turn into butterflies.
Shall is often used to express intent.
The differences are subtle, but what is important to note is that both will and shall are used with all verbs to form the future tense.
The traditional rule of future tense says that shall is used in the first person (I shall eat lunch) and will is used in all other persons (you will eat lunch, she will eat lunch). In practice, most English speakers do not follow this rule and the two words are often considered to be interchangeable when forming the future tense.

You made a good observation, J, but I don't think you and Brandon disagree. When God gives us good fortune or high favor, He rewards us, even if we don't deserve it. Salvation by God's grace is the ultimate BLESSING.

God is devine thought Jesus had his thoughts and God's thoughts the holy spirit is the action you take with your thoughts. If you do not have control of your thoughts and what you place in your eyes to watch and ears to listen you are spiritually sending out negative frequency which puts the world into darkness. So your thoughts should be guarded like the most precious diamond because that's how God talks to you. A floating thought that makes you perk up . I asked God in my mind with my thoughts why he was telling me something. The " thought" that came instantly after was..." please just recognize the fact that WE are communicating." ...that was early on in my persistent attempt to curb what i watch and what I listen too because you won't hear him any other way he's not a yeller. Lol

Wrong. Suffering causes us to dislike selfish people who always Take for themselves and instead of helping look down on the Unfortunate. Suffering turns Men into Beasts. You really missed that point...

Kingdom of God here on earth means a place on where His commandments are always following by the people who knows His commandments.
A Kingdom has a King. and a King haved many servants.
You are outside His Kingdom if you cannot follow His orders or might be you you haven't knew His commandments.
According to the prayer the Lord Jesus Christ taught. Thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That prayer haved done. The Kingdom of God for us haved been sent already here on earth as it is in heaven. it can be called the extension of His Kingdom from heaven to earth. Angels of God always following God's order for them. That's why it was called the Kingdom of God in heaven.
And the Lord Jesus Christ knows that God can extends His Kingdom here on earth when He haves taught how we pray. Thy Kingdom come.
But it was already sent by God here on earth. That's why He ordered us to seek for it. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The God said.
He will not order us to seek for it if it was so impossible for us to find it and be found. its very simple to say that we haved found it. So that it must be proven first before we can say that we haved found it.
The proved must be like the happenings in heaven is also happening to us. On which every command Of God to His angels are always been followed by them.
To whom it may concern because not all angels are sent to earth by God. We haved specific commandments for Christianity.
it was so different to the commandments for the Israelites.
like order for Enoch is not also the order for isralelites. They don't need to construct a boat for flood.
Likewise for Christians don't need to follow the orders for israelites because the commands haved been changed because the priest haved supersede. There is only one priest for Christians and it was no other than the Lord Jesus Christ.
Priests in catholics are not true priests for Christians because there is only one priest for Christians told in the Bible. And we must believed to what is written and not from the preaching of the others.
Teachings in the Bible we must haved to learn. For more info

It must an allusion to the blessings section of the Mosaic Law in Deuteronomy. The blessings never materialised and after several periods of exile, the Jews were sent to the four winds in 70 A.D. We might say they are back now to inherit their land, but this is achieved only by flying in the face of God's standards. If modern Israel has a god, it must be America. The only interpretation of the Beatitudes that would make sense is that of rewards in the afterlife but I accept this pastor's interpretation is correct. Ultimately, the Beatitudes are just hot air to tickle the ears of the downtrodden.

I just started to watch but I have to say, well dah! Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. He didn't come to abolish the law or the prophets but to fulfill them. He said he never changes and that is true. If you want to know Jesus really close and intimately read the Word of God every day. The Old Testament is Jesus veiled and the New Testament is Jesus unveiled.

The beatitudes that Jesus Christ gave us are the most amazing words ever spoken! The beatitudes are interpreted differently by most people that have ever heard them! Beatitudes were spoken simply by our savior with no detailed descriptions on their meanings! My most famous and influential and important words that he ever spoke was his response to stoning a woman found guilty of being found to have unmarried relationships with a married man! His response was simple to had asked him? Ye without sin should cast the first w!

The words are not original to Jesus because his name was never Jesus. It's not a translation nor transliteration. His actual name is Yahshua nor is it yeshua
He was and is hebrew just as I am and you the narrator are
YAHUAH said our people would be led by the gentiles. The Mashiach said another will come in his name and him we will receive. He was telling this to the israelites. You people will lie and say he was talking to all people. That could not be true because the gentiles had their own gods from the beginning .

What the audience would have heard was a direct challenge to the religious leaders’ teaching and attitudes that said that those who suffer and are cursed by God. The Sermon on the Mount is actually a thorough criticism of the current leadership of Israel. The Beatitudes are just the way that gets kicked off.
