Business is hard and friendships are personal and the two often clash which is a harsh consequence. We often hope for better but sometimes we have to part our ways and, when one door closes another one opens. You are strong and resilient and watching you move forward through all of your struggles is a beautiful thing to see. I wish you the very best in all of your endeavors
i have a business and I totally agree with you - people ask me why don't you hire more staff and I say I get more done by myself sad but true - no one cares about your business like you do
Sorry to hear you lost “friendships” over the layoffs. Understandably they should have been disappointed by the layoffs but if they were true friends the relationship should have been ok. They should’ve understood it was a financial decision that was made. Had you kept them you wouldn’t be able to pay for supplies & the business would have closed regardless. Layoffs means they have new opportunities in different employment or they could start their own business. All that to say it wasn’t true friendships if it fell apart over a layoff. You’re better off hiring people you don’t know when you can afford a new team. Keep it business, that way employees can’t take advantage of a good heart.
@@tinamakesthings it happened because I failed to organize the team properly. It wasn't as productive as it should have been, due to having more staff than I could afford, which lead to other hiccups
