for those still afraid, practice the motion with your bed if you have enough room, you'll land softly and you can practice hand placement, got me over the fear of kongs and now i do it all over the place, not so hard and is quite impressive :) thanks Ronnie for helping me so much!!!!

like napalmstrike235 said, a cat leap and a kong/monkey vault are two completely different things. Cat pass is the same though. A cat leap is where you jump (usually over a gap) and have your feet make contact with the wall while your hands grab the top of the wall. From there you can muscle up and get on top of the obstacle. Hope this is helpful.

I had to do the Kong Vault in school and I didn't make it until everyone was telling me that I was going too slow even though I was pretty much running.
The secret is to SPRINT towards the object that you want to clear and LEAP right in there. Then all you have to do is using your hands and finish your jump.
And that's how I jumped over aprox. 1,70m with this technique.

I don't think anyone will care, but my school recently bought this vault thing, and I asked if I could try it out. I wasn't really sure how I do any type of vault other than the safety vault, so I quickly went to RSS and watched this video. Ronnie made it really easy to understand and within the first time after watching this video I actually did this! On impact I tried to safety roll, but I banged my knee on my head, so I still have a lot to work on! Just wanted to thank Ronnie for so many awesome tutorials!! - Me

Itai Bieber, by the looks of them, my guess is; that he and maybe someone else MADE them. They’re not that hard to make, though, you’d have to get the right height for making them- in order to properly do the vault without falling on your face and looking like that thing from the Goonies. 😂

Definitely going to be harder. You don't necessarily have to lose the weight to do it(though that will likely come with it), however I would recommend definitely making sure you have the strength needed to compensate. Personally I myself am overweight working on learning parkour. I haven't done anything I would really call parkour, however, just these practices that Ronnie puts up can be strenuous and can supplement a good workout, as well as helping your parkour training

@rodrigo del cid ikr? They don't do that on iPhone either. And you can't send a reply comment directly to someone all you can do is just say @so and so. Anyways, great tut Ronnie. I already know the monkey and kong vaults but its always great to watch a tutorial from a master like you. And get well soon :)

i would say the fastest way is pressups and weights. The best way to train your body al-in-one is pullups (TIP make sure your palms are facing outwards-that way you train your back, triceps and biceps. Very vital in parkour.)

I'm 6' 2'', and I've done okay so far! Kong and monkey vaults can be a bit more difficult, but wallruns are much easier with lankyness.

It's not "wrong" to do the kong jumping with both feet at the same time, but doing so does take a lot of your initial speed. It's recomended once you get the hang of jumping with both feet to do a running jump, especialy for long kongs, where you really need as much speed as posible to clear the obstacle.
