I’m really stressing and worrying about this weird situation I’m in. I have this account linked to an old email account which will be getting deactivated in a month (which is out of my control.) It’s not letting me change the account details to my new gmail account. And I don’t see why it won’t let it happen? The weird thing is I get notifications sent to my gmail account from notifications from this account. (Which makes no sense.) If I remember correctly this all came about when UA-cam was sold to Google and I thought I managed to switch the details over but unfortunately it’s not the case. I don’t want to lose this account as I have a lot subscriptions I’ve made and just the history with it in general. Also the other thing I’m confused with is the google account I use if I log into UA-cam with it, it displays my whole name, and this doesn’t it has my name in the details but that’s it. This is something new from UA-cam. When I did the video, you only had to wait 24 hours. So, guess you now have to leave new email in the mgr role for 7 days then change to primary. Thanks for watching. I will pin a comment stating this change in the comment section.

I am confuse if the email address from the primary and brand channel was change. My problem on my yt channel is I need to change the email add on my yt channel.
You must go thru the process described in this video. If it is a personal account you must first change it to a brand account then you will have the option of making your new email address the primary owner and can then eliminate the old email address. Follow the steps in this video all the way thru. A change at the end is that YT now makes you wait 7 days to transfer the primary ownership to the new email address. Hope this helps.

Does it only migrate "creator" data (videos, subscribers, etc) or does it migrate "viewer" data as well ("watch later" list, watch history, likes, comments, playlists, subscribed channels, blocked accounts, etc)? Yes, YT changed the process after this video was published. Instead of a 24 hour wait, you now have to wait 7 days.

If i do this and change the owner to youtube channel with a new email... Will it ask to confirm with my old email.. The one that is blocked? Cause if so.. Im screwed. Thankyou
hi i am not sure if i have brand channel i mean if this is the brand channel that i have- and when i want to change the email to new email is not allowing me to change the ownership only manager or editor - viwer -pls i need advice
Based on what you told me, I would say you don’t have a brand channel. Go thru all 4 steps in the video to transfer. Thanks, hope this helps.

Does it only migrate "creator" data (videos, subscribers, etc) or does it migrate "viewer" data as well ("watch later" list, watch history, likes, comments, playlists, subscribed channels, blocked accounts, etc)?
The thing I really want from my old google account is my "viewer" data (watch later list, watch history, likes, comments, playlists, subscribed channels, blocked accounts, etc).
