when i brought my black cat home, the first few days my mom would get jumpscares from her cos not only is she huge and pitch black, she also walks so calmly and quietly. she would walk up to mom and just sat there, waiting for mom to notice her. my mom would describe her as, "what i imagine an apparition would look like: a dark figure with unblinking, yellow eyes" 😅
I was not expecting a Where’s Waldo with cats, but I’m enjoying it! I remember when I had my black cat, sometimes I couldn’t find him since he’s a master at hiding until I heard him meow. I miss my sweet but feisty Merlin…

I love this vid, not only for all the "waldo cats" but for the fact that I learned about mourning braids! My grandma had braided her hair till her death in 2010 and her braid was almost 1 meter in the end.. Have I known about this back then, I'd love to keep her braid framed.
There is also people who still keep the art alive. It's important to know how to preserve the hair so it doesn't get too damaged over time. There's a lady in my area who does them. She also does pet hair.

My Great Aunt had 2 of her Mother's braids framed; 1 was a long thick braid of black hair that I think was cut after she had her 1st child & the other was a shorter thinner braid of grey hair cut shortly before she died. Most of the family was weirded out by it, but it was one of my favorite things to look @ when we visited.
