you have to admit, it's kinda impressive for gokaiger to still be the "poster child" of sorts of super sentai crossovers that they're continuously coming out with updated hero getter versions
i think gokaiger had a universal appreciation for it, i think it offered the most in terms of an anniversary season, and it really leaned into that anniversary part. the whole ranger key gimmick led to so many toys, and lead to everyone being utterly ashamed of super megaforce when it came out gokaiger is just awesome for what it brought to the table

Do to a couple of things. The concept is just appreciation of all the past series along with the team being able to turn into all of them. Then you have the fact this series was coming off the Fukushima Disaster that had this series in particular be used for fundraising for the victims, have something to show the kids to lift spirits and a bunch of the additions of cameos were just a bunch of the old actors wanting to make it special do to the two above reasons, so the scope got a lot bigger then was originally planned. Add onto that that the merch sales were just insane and the company afterward for the subsequent series were going to have a problem trying to one up itself after something like this. You can see it with the series directly afterward that they got experimental or brought the dinosaur theme back sooner then they usually did. Two teams, biggest team, dino theme switch forms and dream power along with just improved effects cause of there new digital screens, they didn't really get back to the numbers the company wanted till Ryu. Hell, Go Busters didn't even get the usual team up special do to how it was REALLY hard to follow up the biggest anniversary team in a decade.

It can continually be used once another set of Sentai team comes out. I can't wait to hear the Hero Getter for the 50th anniversary. It would be a shame if they don't keep using this. Also yeah Super Megaforce was a let down. Japan handed Saban a silver plate...no make that gold plate and he just threw it away. Not to mention, I'm so mad with Hasbro with them just cutting ties with Super Sentai. In a way I understand but then in a way I don't. I mean, you can still make an awesome story using the battle footage. I hope that the new reboot of Power Rangers doesn't flop.
My mother was around for the 1st sentai, my older brother was there for the 17th, I was there for the 28th. As a 20+, I still enjoy the show to this day.

As a PR fan, I gotta admit that this is freaking awesome. Super Sentai really is the best franchise when it comes to handling legacy characters and new characters. I wish PR was treated with the same respect.
This is the downside of Saban disguising it as an American product and doing business with it. They've stolen the cultural work of Shotaro Ishinomori and other creators of Toei and Super Sentai, and are making a killing with a childish business. I wonder if they're paying Toei a fair price? Why are they trying to hide the fact that the heroes are born in Japan? I don't feel any respect at all!

Super Sentai was the first TV show I watched when I was a kid in the 2000 era, Gokaiger is one of the best tribute to Super Sentai, the time when my entire family was nostalgic about their generation of Sentai Rangers.
I grew up watching Super Megaforce, 10 years later I found this great masterpiece. I was surprised to find out that PR was Japanese, now I know what I missed out on. I did finished watching Gokaiger and their movies like 3 weeks ago, loved Joe's arch in the series. Overall, this show and its American counterpart will always be in my heart as my childhood.
Kaizoku Snetai Gokaiger will always be the best sentai. I have not come across a sentai after their series that had the heart it had. The main red wasn't a happy go lucky push over that we see in series post Gokaiger. I'm biased and will always like more adult themed Red's. Marvelous was a great red/great leader and to see his growth in this series, then in Zyuogher, then again in the 10 years after special. He is so special. I've watched a lot of sentai in my life but Gokaiger is still top notch snetai material.
we're down to the 48th super sentai, close enough to golden anniversary. but still the 35th super sentai was the most iconic and the best anniversary they ever created so far. i'm so hooked up to gokaigers so much that i'd rewatched it for 10 times. gokaiger still the best!
I was a power rangers kid growing up (and still am to a certain extent) and when I found out about super sentai I was shocked that I had never heard about it before. I will sometimes watch sentai but never as much as PR but nonetheless I feel nothing but gratitude for sentai as without it there would be no pr and the world would be a sadder place I hope sentai never ends and I hope PR gets its shit together and also never ends
@@Jay_D_Ashe Yeah, it was their ending song, played in three sections (so you'd get the first 12 teams in one episode, the next 12 in the next, and the remaining 10 in the next, then the first set again, etc). This is actually the fourth version of it, as it was updated for Go-Busters (adding that and Gokaiger, using in their VS movie) and Zyuohger (adding Kyoryu, ToQ, Ninnin and Zyuoh, used in Zyuoh's in-series team-up with Gokaiger) before this one (adding Kyu, Lupat, Ryusoul, Kiramei, and Zenkaiger, used in the 10 years film).
I will be 38 on the 50th Anniversary and very excited and grateful. I grew up on the American version as a kid and started watching all of the originals on UA-cam. Imagine a big global party for the 50th Anniversary!

Even though I was born in the 80s, I started watching Super Sentai in 2000. So I took a trip and watched all Sentai teams up to this point. And I liked it. If I live long to see more Sentai series, I will always love Super Sentai. This is an awesome tribute.

Goggle V was the first super sentai series that I watched about 30 years ago. Though I don't watch super sentai anymore coz I feel I'm too old for that, I still know every super sentai squad from GoRanger to Donbrothers and super sentais were/are/and will always be my favorite super heroes.

As a PR fan, I gotta admit that this is freaking awesome.
Super Sentai really is the best franchise when it comes to handling legacy characters and new characters.
I wish PR was treated with the same respect.
Well you can blame neo Saban and bandai of America for ruining it.
This is the downside of Saban disguising it as an American product and doing business with it.
They've stolen the cultural work of Shotaro Ishinomori and other creators of Toei and Super Sentai, and are making a killing with a childish business. I wonder if they're paying Toei a fair price? Why are they trying to hide the fact that the heroes are born in Japan? I don't feel any respect at all!

Like ever since MMPR aired, that show through generation never mention a shit about their source except mentioning Toei company in their opening and end credits. Super Sentai was the first TV show I watched when I was a kid in the 2000 era, Gokaiger is one of the best tribute to Super Sentai, the time when my entire family was nostalgic about their generation of Sentai Rangers.

I grew up watching Super Megaforce, 10 years later I found this great masterpiece. I was surprised to find out that PR was Japanese, now I know what I missed out on. I did finished watching Gokaiger and their movies like 3 weeks ago, loved Joe's arch in the series. Overall, this show and its American counterpart will always be in my heart as my childhood.
Honestly, Super Megafarce butchered Gokaiger.
Kaizoku Snetai Gokaiger will always be the best sentai. I have not come across a sentai after their series that had the heart it had. The main red wasn't a happy go lucky push over that we see in series post Gokaiger. I'm biased and will always like more adult themed Red's. Marvelous was a great red/great leader and to see his growth in this series, then in Zyuogher, then again in the 10 years after special. He is so special. I've watched a lot of sentai in my life but Gokaiger is still top notch snetai material.
I just recently finished rewatching Gokaiger for the 5th or 6th time but the nostalgia hit me hard hearing this song once again🏴☠️

we're down to the 48th super sentai, close enough to golden anniversary. but still the 35th super sentai was the most iconic and the best anniversary they ever created so far. i'm so hooked up to gokaigers so much that i'd rewatched it for 10 times. gokaiger still the best!

This is one of the most special Tokusatsu franchises I have ever watched since 1997
I was a power rangers kid growing up (and still am to a certain extent) and when I found out about super sentai I was shocked that I had never heard about it before. I will sometimes watch sentai but never as much as PR but nonetheless I feel nothing but gratitude for sentai as without it there would be no pr and the world would be a sadder place I hope sentai never ends and I hope PR gets its shit together and also never ends

To be fair, the 45th anniversary Getter was mostly Gokaiger focused due to the ‘10 years later trend’ just so happening to be said anniversary

@@Jay_D_Ashe Yeah, it was their ending song, played in three sections (so you'd get the first 12 teams in one episode, the next 12 in the next, and the remaining 10 in the next, then the first set again, etc). This is actually the fourth version of it, as it was updated for Go-Busters (adding that and Gokaiger, using in their VS movie) and Zyuohger (adding Kyoryu, ToQ, Ninnin and Zyuoh, used in Zyuoh's in-series team-up with Gokaiger) before this one (adding Kyu, Lupat, Ryusoul, Kiramei, and Zenkaiger, used in the 10 years film).

Even though I was born in the 80s, I started watching Super Sentai in 2000. So I took a trip and watched all Sentai teams up to this point. And I liked it. If I live long to see more Sentai series, I will always love Super Sentai. This is an awesome tribute.

the cast of the next team has been told their show could be its last, their advertising partners have been told this could be the end as well
Both this production and Bandai will need to do a lot to keep the franchise going, or it will end four years short of the 50th anniversary
if it does die, this will affect in the west what Hasbro and Netflix can do for power rangers and will compromise Nichi Asa Kids/Super Hero Time by leaving nothing in the 9:30 in the morning slot japanese standard time as Kamen Rider would be deemed unable to have benefitted from the time switch the two shows did on October 1st, 2017

Super Sentai was started in 1975 with Goranger the first ever Super Sentai in the history of Japan. But in the Philippines they named Star Rangers it was aired on RPN 9 back in the 80’s

Goggle V was the first super sentai series that I watched about 30 years ago. Though I don't watch super sentai anymore coz I feel I'm too old for that, I still know every super sentai squad from GoRanger to Donbrothers and super sentais were/are/and will always be my favorite super heroes.
This is the definitive Hero Getter, I don't think that any Hero Getter can replace this one.
