    I have been watching your videos for quite sometime now. As a matter of fact, you helped me decide between a cheaper "NORTRAC" and between red, orange, blue and green, Anticipating a larger usage and need for heavier bucket work, I bought a new 3025 last summer. I felt I needed maximum ground clearance and still a smaller unit. Now I watch your stuff and like how easy you make attachments seem. The diverter is going on mine next I think. Anyway, keep them coming.

    Great video as always Tim. I'm real picky about finish on anything I mod. Obviously the way it's sold from artillian is the correct way to sell it in general but for neurotic people an easy way to clean up the momentary switch is replacing the knob with one that has a built in switch (like an automotive one for a line lock or nitrous) and a length of shrink tube to cover the rod and wire from knob to boot.
    Wiring directly from the fuse box is the only way to fly. Great choice taking the extra time to get the right connectors. Gave me chills of joy to see you cut off that inline fuse holder.

    I mounted mine to the engine mount so it stays on the tractor so I have it for my snowblower too I just put quick connections on the valve to switch between the loader for my grapple and I got the hoses on my snowblower as well works great. And Tim good videos keep it up

    I took my loader off when I put mine on. Made it easier access thru the entire install. Tok roughly 45 minutes and works great.

      I kinda enjoyed it. Perhaps I'm weird. The only hard part was because of the approach I chose for wiring.
      The instructions left the wiring 'to my discretion'. ...so I thought it would be helpful to show how I actually tackled the problem.

    Oh I wish this video was out a few days earlier. My 1025R stopped running and it turned out to be the fuse block got wet. This would have saved me a bunch of $$$ had I known how easy it was to get at. Thanks for your videos. I've learned a lot about my Johnny from watching. I cant wait until spring! I just bought the 2.5 acres in front of my property and have a few thousand yards of dirt to move around.

      joe Chavez as a fellow 1 series owner I urge you to buy the shop manual for the 1 family on cd. I got mine on eBay and it was worth it. Can seem a bit pricey until you do services on your own and make up for it. Also allows you to search online for part numbers directly if you have a cheaper source than your local dealer. Everything the shop has I have on hand for parts schematics and part numbers. Cheers!

    I'm a fan of magnet bowls for putting my parts in, saved me a lot of time when taking things apart and putting them back together. Another item I have is a limited space magnetic pickup tool. The magnet is protected so you don't fight it sticking to everything but the part or tool you want to grab.

      There are times the 1025r is the largest rig we could fit into the job site. Of course, other times, it really doesn’t have enough umph to do the job. Overall, it packs a lot of punch for its small size. We’re thrilled with it

    Very nice! I don't have an excuse for a grapple yet, but a manual thumb for my backhoe bucket might be nice to add sometime. I need to find the right contacts for adding fuses in my orange tractor's fuse block. I want to add some working lights, and I want to do it the right way. Nice. I have the WR Long 3rd function kit on my tractor and I like it pretty good. It came with a whole new knob with the 3rd function switch on the knob. I like the diverter too. The only thing I don't care for on the WR Long kit is the hoses are so small that you can't get much flow. It's fine for grapples and tree pullers but I wish it had enough flow for some other non high flow useage like a Harley Rake or a snow blower.

    Another enjoyable video Tim/ Katriel.
    When I did mine a couple of years ago I too found the on/off switch wire to be just barely long enough, another couple of inches would have been great.
    The nut on the back of the fuse panel is actually 10 millimetres not centimetres. Lol.
    I didn’t notice you mentioning anything about reinstalling the rubber boot over the loader joystick scv.
    I had a heck of a time getting the inside part of the boot secured around the scv itself and ended up having to remove the fender to get it properly situated. Just wasn’t enough room to get my hand in there any other way. Have a great Christmas folks and keep the videos coming.

    I FINALLY got my 1025r about a week ago. It's brand new and I had my JD dealer install the factory 3rd function kit for me pre purchase.
    I was wondering if it might be possible to do a video on just the hydraulic hoses and twin grapple diverter for those of us that kind of have a mechanical mind but plan ahead for these things. I would like to see how you routed your primary hoses to your 3rd function ports on the side of the engine block especially. Hope you had a good Christmas, we sure had a nice one with all the family and good foods. I really enjoy working with my tractor between my dad and I we both heat with wood and we move a lot of logs around, unfortunately I had a log about 8” dia 10-12ft long come over the forks didn’t hit me while running the machine but it did dent the hood of the MF1739. That’s where the grapple would give a bit more control in moving logs and brush. To everyone running equipment be safe out there.
      Thanks again,
      Jeffrey Misch

      Yea, hard to keep stuff off the hoods of these small tractors. It seems to 'hop' right over RJ bucket or fork frame.
      This seems to be an advantage of the plastic hood (believe it or not). I have hit it pretty hard...no dents.

    I want one really bad but I'm having a hard time justifying the price on these (from any of the manufacturers). For example the pallet fork backing plate alone is $659 from Artillian and it is nearly identical to my Titan pallet fork plate. The Titan was only $400 for the plate WITH the forks. Ouch. Great video though! Learned a lot about the diverter install.

    • @TractorTimewithTim

      ...but you lost a significant amount of lift capacity with the Titan.

    Don't run your fingers around hydraulic lines looking for leaks unless you're sure there is no pressure in the system. It can kill you

      There is no pressure in power beyond as long as no valves are being operated. Further. We had already visually inspected for oil.

    • @TractorTimewithTim

      artillian.com it is a splitter ....the clamps of the artillian grapple each have a set of hoses...so we need 4 ports...the ports are really tee'd together in that box...so simply a splitter.

    Great video Tim just wondering with how much work they put into the overall construction of this kit, why they couldn't come up with a button built into the knob of the control handle. It's just the zip stripping of the button looks a little tacky with how nice everything else looks.

    Tim, do you ever find that a true 3rd function would serve you better than a diverter, if Johnny had the hydro flow to run it?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  6 років тому

      For the grapple, no. The diverter is perfectly fine.
      I’m on and off the button so quickly and without thought that it doesn’t have any negative impact.

    If my 1025r already has the factory installed 3rd function hydraulics in the front, will just the splitter work to achieve the double claw action? Thanks Tim and awesome videos! Keep em coming please.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  5 років тому +1

      I’m not sure you want fully independent claws anyway. This unit will not add that functionality.

    • @Mike-es5fj
      @Mike-es5fj 5 років тому

      @@TractorTimewithTim thanks for the reply. I didn't mean independently I'm sorry. When I said the double claw action, I meant so I could run two claws instead of just one. 3rd function controlling the grapple but because I wanna run two like you, I need the splitter. So I'm assuming the splitter just would tie into the factory 3rd function and then adding the splitter would give me the ability to run two grapples?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  5 років тому +1

      Any ‘T’ will provide the necessary function. You can buy the splitter portion from artillian...without the actual diverter kit.

    Have you ever thought of installing the single point hydraulic for the loader hookup? Would this kit still work either the single point hookup?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  6 років тому +1

      I have thought about it. I would really like to have one. Christy's fingers simply aren't strong enough to remove the hydraulic hoses as they are now. We tried a single-point on a 2038R at the Farm Progress Show. She could EASILY handle that.
      Also, we have tried the one on the Kubota BX2680. Again, it was easy for her to operate.
      I suspect the Artillian kit would need a bit of modification (hose lengths might be wrong), but yes, it would work with the single point.

    • @TractorTimewithTim

      There is not. Some folks have built one, by attaching push lawn mowers to large arms off the front.
      Another approach is to use a sickle mower. Very expensive, but will do the job.
