So glad this was captured for posterity, thank you! A fascinating connection between these two painters that transcends the teacher pupil relationship, and the ideas of bettering predecessors. Our gallery in Aberdeen has a Bomberg landscape and an Auerbach portrait in their collection, unfortunately not shown in the same room because of the themes, but the comparisons and connections are undeniable (thick paint application aside). Both searching for solidity and forms that exist on their own terms, both capturing their reality in an utterly unique and unexpected. Wonderful that this exhibition happened and sad I missed it.
He is indeed (93 years young), and there's a brilliant little exhibition of some of his fantastic London paintings currently at Offer Waterman Gallery in St George St, off Regents St, (until early Dec) which I have seen already and will be visiting again several more times before it ends!

You, walking around an art gallery, with a cameraman, is all the Art History I need. Thanks for all the years of pleasure.
Thanks Andrew for all your work. You have taken me on many journeys and I really appreciate it.

Wonderful, thank you
Very inspiring!
Been a fan of your work since watching your series on the Renaissance as a kid. Your enthusiasm really is infectious!
Excellent work as always. You’re almost too good at what you do.
К огромному сожалению всех ценителей, Франк Ауэрбах ушёл в мир иной 11.11. 2024... Добрая память
Sickert, Bomberg, Auerbach and Kossof - a great lineage.
r.i.p. Frank
Won't be in UK, but really did enjoy the overview. Thank you.
Bomberg was born in Birmingham not the east end of London!
Auerbach is still alive to this day I believe 🤔 living in London in his 90’s I think?
